The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1529

Chapter 1529 I Dreamed of You Last Night

Aurora was delighted to hear those words and she walked away with a bright smile.

It was only after the door was closed that Cindy finally heaved a sigh as she held the table for support while she stood up.

She had to wash her face since she felt rather dizzy.

She had been drinking with Naomi earlier and even though she was nursing a headache at that time, it was nothing like what she was experiencing now. She almost couldn’t see what was in front of her.

As it was a rather horrible feeling, Cindy felt a bit anxious.

She tried her best to have her eyes wide open so that she wouldn’t take the wrong road while she slowly made her way to the washroom.

However, Ian was already there.

Cindy’s anxiety level increased. After all, she was really worried that she would see something inappropriate.

Fortunately, he had already relieved himself and he was washing his hands at the basin.

When he saw her approaching, he wiped his hand and headed outside while saying, “You’ve drank too much, haven’t you?”

Even at this moment, Cindy did not forget to wear a brave facade. She merely waved her hand as she answered, “Who said I drank too much? My alcohol tolerance is actually quite good. If you don’t believe me, let’s find a time to have some drinks together. I guarantee you will be so drunk that you can’t even tell the directions.”

Upon hearing that, Ian almost burst out in laughter. I bet she’s drunk now. It’s only when she’s drunk that she dares to speak so loudly and arrogantly. Usually, she’s obviously an introverted and low-profile girl.

After she gave an airy wave, her head started to buzz and she almost lost her balance.

At this moment, Ian walked past her to leave the washroom.

She merely wanted to take a step back to give way to him, but she couldn’t control her balance and retreated one too many steps.

Right behind her was the door frame, which she knocked into with a loud thud while being unaware. Then, her body started to sway slowly before she pounded on his body due to inertia. Apart from being dizzy, another trouble she had was that her reflexes became much slower.

Cindy lay in his embrace for a long time without even figuring out what had just happened.

She merely felt as though she had knocked into something.

On the other hand, when she bumped into Ian, it caused his body to stumble. He finally regained his balance after taking a step backward.

Then, he raised his hands and pressed it on Cindy’s shoulder to slowly push her back.

However, she looked like she still hadn’t returned to her senses and instead raised her hand to caress his chest.

Initially, Ian thought that he didn’t drink one glass too many. However, after she had caressed him, the alcohol he drank earlier suddenly bubbled into his brain.

At that instant, he felt that his train of thoughts was in chaos while his breathing raced as well.

However, Cindy knew nothing about this. Her hand was still pressed on his chest as she lifted her head to look at him dreamily.

Ian pursed his lips as he increased his strength on her shoulders.

She blinked and asked lazily, “Are you Ian?”

It’s obvious that alcohol has gotten the better of her. Ian pushed her out of his embrace. “You... should wash your face and head to bed. Once you wake up, you’ll be more refreshed.”

Cindy’s hands unintentionally lingered on his body. She acted as though she hadn’t hurt him and she suddenly tiptoed to regard him at a close range.

After a few seconds of looking, she suddenly giggled. “My, my, you are really handsome. Before I met you, I heard other people complimenting your looks, but I thought they were exaggerating.”

With that, she stretched out with her hand and poked his face. “God is so unfair. You are a man. Why are you so beautiful?”

Then, as if she could not clearly see him, Cindy forced herself closer toward him.

Meanwhile, Ian lacked the courage to look at her. He didn’t know how well she could hold her drink as they had never drank before.

Nevertheless, she looked like she was currently in bad shape.

He pushed her aside slightly and grabbed hold of her. “You should wash your face and head to bed. I’m going back to my room as well.”

After saying those words, he wanted to release his grip on her and turn around to leave.

Unexpectedly, Cindy suddenly changed her posture and hugged his waist.

Then, her entire body leaned into his embrace as she said sullenly, “I dreamed of you yesterday.”

I can’t believe she can still remember what she dreamed yesterday at this moment, Ian thought.
