After that, Ian remained in the kitchen and watched Cindy whip up some dishes. After she was finished with one dish, he would bring it to the dining table before he went back to stand at the door until Naomi arrived.

Cindy remained silent as she opened some beverages and poured them for everyone. “Let’s not drink tonight and just have some beverages.”

Naomi pouted. “I was thinking about drinking with you. In the end, you guys secretly met up behind my back.”

After thinking about it, Cindy asked, “Why don’t you have some alcohol while we drink our beverages?”

Naomi’s eyes widened. “Did you even hear what you were saying? Is it even sensible?”

Cindy huffed self-righteously, “You can ignore what we are drinking since we are giving a toast anyway. Be it alcohol or beverages, they are all the same.”

With a snort, Naomi turned to look at Ian. “Is she usually so unreasonable and full of crap with you?”

However, after he thought about it seriously, he answered, “She’s quite obedient usually.”
