However, even if they had met up, Cindy wouldn’t know what to say, so she was slightly against the idea.
If they were awkward when they met, then they better not see each other.
Cindy booked a flight for the next day because she knew that the faster they were done with it, the better it was for them.
After that, she started to pack her things.
As she hadn’t brought too many things with her when she returned, she didn’t have much to pack.
She shoved all her belongings into her luggage and it looked almost the same as when she first came home.
When Cindy was done with her packing, she went and made dinner.
Hazel found that dinner was already on the table the moment that she came home, so she was taken by surprise. “You don’t have to do this! Just sit back and relax and leave this to me. I almost always come home at the same time, which is just in time to make dinner.”
Cindy replied, “I’m not complaining about the time. Something urgent came up, so I have to leave tomorrow. That’s why I decided to make dinner for tonight.”
A stunned Hazel asked, “You said you’d be here for a while, didn’t you? It’s only been a few days at most and you’re already leaving?”
During her time here, Cindy never really had much of an interaction with her mother. They only saw each other during meals when Hazel usually whiled most of her time away at the games.
Now that Hazel heard her daughter was leaving, she felt a bit sorry and thought that it wouldn’t be proper to merely allow Cindy’s stay to end like that.
After she sighed, she said, “I have won some money these few days, so I can’t really just stop playing like that. They had urged me to go, you see. I originally planned some time after this to accompany you at home. Who knew that you’d be leaving so soon?”
Cindy didn’t really want Hazel’s company as their personalities wouldn’t be a great fit for each other. So, she answered, “It’s okay; it was a sudden request, after all. I’ll come back again when I have time.”
The two didn’t say much after that. Even though Hazel wanted to spend more time with her, their relationship had been lukewarm for so long that they couldn’t really fake intimacy.
As usual, they then proceeded to eat in silence.
Hazel’s phone rang again after dinner.
She probably received an invitation to join a game, but she didn’t accept it.
Cindy overheard Hazel explaining that her daughter would be returning to work the next day, so she couldn’t attend.
The person on the other end of the line was understanding. Both the person and Hazel didn’t say much after that and only did some small talk before hanging up.
As she leaned against the couch, Cindy said, “You can actually go. I’ll be fine on my own.”
Hazel smiled. “It’s okay. I will have all the time I need after you leave, so I can spare some time.”
Cindy didn’t say anything as she continued to stare at the television.
However, she didn’t really pay much attention to the movements on the screen.
She would board the plane tomorrow morning and she would arrive at her destination by noon. Then, she would be able to see Ian. At this exact time tomorrow, I will be under the same roof as Ian.
Cindy didn’t know how long it would take for the entire matter to be resolved, but she was aware that she was about to relive the old days of staying together with Ian.
With that in mind, she sighed because she had to meet Ian’s friends as well.
She wasn’t sure whether his friends knew about her relationship with him.
If they didn’t, she would have to constantly put on an act.
It was suddenly time to test her acting skills.
On the other hand, Ian didn’t rest well for the whole night and he woke up earlier the next morning.
Logically speaking, Cindy should have booked a flight for today, but as she hadn’t told him anything, he didn’t know what she was planning.
He had told her to notify him when she booked the flight, but she never did.
Ian changed his clothes and walked out, but Aurora was still sleeping.
After washing up, he sat in the living room alone. He took out his phone and looked at it while scrolling mindlessly.
Around half an hour later, she finally emerged from her room and she was surprised to see that he was already awake. “You’re up early today.”
Ian nodded. “I couldn’t sleep.”
Aurora didn’t think too much of it. She simply went into the kitchen and started to prepare breakfast.

Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
