After saying that to Ian, Aurora turned around and went to the kitchen. Pursing his lips, Ian thought about it before he pushed the suitcase to the side of the sofa and then sat down. He certainly could not enter the room, but he might be able to at night. In any case, he did not mind sleeping on the sofa, but he could not let his mother see it.
On the other side, Cindy was also a bit frustrated in the room. She instantly thought of a lot of ways to solve the current situation, but all of them seemed a bit inappropriate. It would cause others to suspect the authenticity of her and Ian’s relationship. Thus, she sat on the edge of the bed and stared at the bed for a while. Last night, Ian must have slept here, lying under this quilt.
Although the flight was indeed quite tiring, how could she lie on this bed? So, she stayed up for a while, and suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Then, Ian’s voice came. "Are you still sleeping? Are you hungry? Dinner is ready."
Hearing this, Cindy hurriedly stood up and went over to open the door. Ian was standing at the door, and as Cindy had opened the door a bit too forcefully, he was startled and involuntarily took two steps back. As the two finally faced each other like this, both were feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Then Cindy glanced at Aurora in the kitchen out of the corner of her eye and then asked in a low voice that no one else could hear, "What should we do tonight?"
Ian took a deep breath and shrugged. Seeing that Ian did not speak, Cindy understood that he had no idea either. With a complicated look on her face, she asked, "How long have you rented this house for? How about we change it again?"
Ian was amused. “Then you’d better think of an excuse to tell my mother; I couldn’t think of any that would work.”
Blinking, Cindy did not have confidence in her IQ either. Since Ian could not think of one, she certainly could not think of any. While they were stuck in a stalemate, Aurora came out with a bowl of noodles. "Cindy, come and eat the noodles first. If you’re sleepy, you can go back to sleep afterward."
Glancing at Ian, Cindy could only pass by him. Aurora’s noodles were pretty good. It was loaded with eggs, beef, and vegetables. However, Cindy’s appetite was not very good, as she was thinking about how to spend the night. While eating, Aurora asked her how she was doing at home, how her parents' health was, and what kind of reaction people at home had toward the online scandal.
Cindy’s expression slightly stiffened before she nodded. "Fortunately, I went back and explained a little to them, and their attitude was fine."
Aurora sighed. "The company said they will deal with it, so we will wait and see. It should be a matter of time."
Then she turned her head to look at Ian, who had already gone back to his room. "You two should not waste time either. There’s nothing you young couples cannot resolve. When Ian just came back the other night, he had drunk a lot with his friends, and he kept mentioning your name while drunk. I’m not sure what he was talking about, but I think if he offended you, he would be more than aware of his mistake.”
Cindy did not know if Aurora was making it up, as she always felt that Ian would never do such a thing. However, there were some things that she could not expose, so she only lowered her head and ate the noodles to avoid this topic.
Back in his room, Ian stood at the window. He fumbled around in his pocket but did not find the cigarette case he was looking for, so he had to give up. At this moment, he was really annoyed, not only because of the situation but also about his own inability to solve it.
Just when he didn't know what to do, Logan called and asked him with a chuckle if he had met up with his girlfriend.
Ian was not in the mood, so he simply pursed his lips and did not speak. But Logan was never one to bother about the feelings of others.
"Don’t just pretend to be deep and mysterious. If you’re happy, don’t be shy to show it. Look at me, an open book! I show on my face whatever I think and look at what a fun life I’m living.”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
