The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1641

Chapter 1641 Complaints

However, they looked rather happy, and Cindy smiled dumbly. “You cast the wrong skill just now.”

Aurora answered sheepishly, “This really tests my reflexes. I’m getting too old for this.”

Cindy encouraged her, “It’s alright. It happens to all beginners. You’ll get used to it.”

Cindy was still the same gentle lady, though Ian had to be out of the picture, or she’d start to attack him.

Ian licked his teeth in annoyance. He just didn’t believe he couldn’t conquer her, since she looked so harmless. He thought about how they used to get along, and how the timid Cindy never did raise her voice. However, that day, this timid woman almost got into a fight with him.

Even now, his heart still pounded whenever he recalled how he lost control and backed her against the door before he went for the kiss. In reality, the argument wasn’t too fierce, since they weren’t violent at all. However, everything she said back then hit him like a truck, angering him.

Cindy was starting another match with Aurora, and for some reason, he got jealous. You didn’t call me even when you’re starting a match? What can a noob like you do? You can’t carry anyone.

Cindy knew Ian was looking at them. She saw him out of the corner of her eye the moment he came out, but she pretended not to see him. After all, she didn’t know how she should get along with him, and there was no way they could go back to how they were, so pretending he didn’t exist was the best way to go.

But she wasn’t a good player to begin with, and now that she had to pay some attention to Ian, it made her gameplay worse. Because of that, she lost two matches in a row. However, Aurora didn’t blame her. She only thought it was her fault for being a newbie.

After the second match, Aurora sighed. “Why is it so hard to win?” Then, she turned around and saw Ian. He must have stood there for a while now. She quickly waved at him. “Ian, do you know how to play this game?”

Finally. If nobody talked to him, God knew how long he’d have to stand there. He walked over to the ladies, saying, “Of course.” Then, he glanced at Cindy. “I can’t believe you let a noob like her carry you,” he said smugly.

Cindy glared at him. “Who are you calling noob?”

Ian snorted and sat down beside his mother. “I’ve made it really obvious, but you still can’t get it? Boy, you’re not just a noob in game; you’re a noob in real life too,” he told Cindy.

Cindy gritted her teeth. For some reason, she wanted to punch him, but then she realized that she would be touching him, so she loosened her fists. In the end, all she could do was snort indignantly.

Ian took his phone out and logged into the game, then he added Aurora to the team before inviting Cindy. Cindy pouted, since she was reluctant to play. Even though Aurora was sitting between them, Aurora was leaning forward because she was just too immersed in the game.

On the other hand, Ian and Cindy were leaning back, so they could see each other if they turned to the side. Even if they didn’t, they could still notice each other from the corner of their eyes.

Ian seemed to act differently this time. Before this, he was a quiet player, but this time, he wouldn’t stop talking for even a moment, though all he did was mock Cindy. He kept calling her a noob, blaming her for her weak support, calling her one-on-one skill trash, and even calling her overall gameplay useless. Not once did he praise her.
