The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1642

Chapter 1642 A Stroll

Cindy didn’t say anything in the beginning because even she had to admit that she was a noob. However, it went too far in the end. Hey, even if I am a noob, why are you just targeting me alone? After suffering another death in the game, she snorted and slammed her phone on the couch. “One more word and I’ll AFK.”

Ian didn’t look at her, but a smile tugged at his lips. If someone were to see him from the side, they’d know he was smiling.

Aurora didn’t notice what they were doing, but as soon as Cindy said she’d stop playing, Aurora stopped her. “Oh, please don’t do that. Get back to the game, quickly.”

This time, Ian laughed, and he took a second to glance at Cindy. “Alright, fine. I’ll stop, so you play.” He sounded like he was giving in, but for the most part, he was just trying to coax her, since he sounded gentle and loving.

Cindy was annoyed, but Ian was smiling too kindly for her to do anything about it. A few moments later, she snorted and turned her head away. Cindy picked her phone up, but her hero was still waiting to respawn. On the other hand, Ian was fighting with the enemy. Cindy pursed her lips. So what if you’re good at gaming? You’re not good at anything else.

Ian quieted down after Cindy blew her top, and he said nothing more.

However, that match still ended in a loss, since Cindy and Aurora’s skills left a lot to be desired.

Aurora put her phone down. She lost the match, and she was exhausted from playing. “God, that was exciting.” She rotated her wrists. There wasn’t a big market for mobile games when she was young, and she had never come across games like these. Now that she finally did, she thought it was fun, but her age was catching up so her reflexes were getting slow.

Cindy leaned back on the sofa and put her phone down. “Alright, I give up. I don’t want to get nagged at while I’m gaming.”

Aurora laughed and turned to face Ian. “You’re cheeky, aren’t you?” she chastised him. “She wasn’t going to forgive you anytime soon, and now you’re nagging her? You aren’t going back to your room now. Heck, you might even have to sleep on the floor instead of the couch tonight.”

Aurora was helping Cindy out, and Cindy burst into laughter. The next moment, she looked at Ian coldly. “I’m not playing with you anymore. You’re annoying.”

Aurora nodded. “Yeah, you’re right. I shouldn’t have asked him to play with us. We’ll do it alone next time. Just the two of us. We’re both noobs, so we can’t blame anyone.”

Aurora had a point, but Cindy felt insulted for some reason.

Ian kept his phone with a smile and stood up. “Wanna go around?” Staying at home all day was peaceful, but also tiring.

Cindy held Aurora’s arm. “We’ll go alone. Let’s leave him behind, alright?”

Aurora nodded. “That we shall.”

Cindy and Aurora walked toward the door, and Ian followed without thinking too much. Even though they said they’d leave him behind, no one could chase him back if he followed them.

They went downstairs to have a walk around the neighborhood. There was a gym park there, but only old couples came to have a walk at this hour.

Cindy and Aurora strolled ahead, looking like mother and daughter, while Ian followed behind like he was the stepson.

Even so, they were walking close together, and everyone could tell that they knew each other.

Although there were a lot of old people, there were also youngsters. Since there were no courts of any kind, the youngsters played badminton in the corner.

Those guys were about the same age as Cindy, but they were vivacious. Compared to them, Cindy felt old.
