The guy gave her a racket and taught her how to play. Since he was teaching her, there was bound to be skin contact. For example, he had to teach her how to grip and swing the racket step by step, and he would need to touch her if he wanted to teach. A moment later, Ian went over to his mother.
Aurora was smiling at Cindy and the guy.
“Who is he?” Ian muttered.
Aurora answered without looking at him, “No idea. He seems nice to me.”
Really? I don’t think so. He sat down on Cindy’s spot and stared at her.
Cindy started off awkward, but she relaxed after being taught for a while, and she happily played badminton with the guy. But since she was a newbie, she couldn’t fire back a lot of times. Even so, the guy didn’t get impatient. Instead, he encouraged her with a smile.
The more Ian looked, the more annoyed he was. How can she smile so alluringly at him but growl at me all the time? This is not fair.
Aurora seemed to be oblivious to her son’s annoyance, and she smiled. “He’s about the same age as her. Guess they have a lot to talk about. They look so happy.”
Ian was still tense and quiet.
Aurora chuckled. “You should learn from him. He’s so patient.”
Ian never shifted his gaze. Cindy missed the serve again, so the guy came over to show her some moves, then he gave her an easy serve as training. Since she got into the flow, Cindy finally managed to fire back, and they smiled.
Dang it. Ian lost the mood to watch, so he stood up. “You stay here. I’ll go around.”
Aurora didn’t ask him to stay. “Sure,” she answered curtly, then she went back to looking at Cindy.
Ian was annoyed that his mother was ignoring him, so he turned around and went somewhere far from them. He didn’t have anywhere he wanted to go, but if he stayed back there, he might end up puking and cursing.
After a short stroll, he went toward where the old folks were. Their exercise was gentle—most of it was just stretches and taichi. He stood behind them, but still he could vaguely see Cindy. However, she probably didn’t even notice he was gone, and she seemed to be enjoying herself. “That little…,” he mumbled.
He leaned back on one of the workout equipment behind the old folks and took his phone out. Yulia had sent him a message saying that the furore had died down. The court of public opinion was always fickle, after all. Give them time, and they’d move on to the next trend.
Yulia knew Ian was back at his old home, so she asked him if everything was going well. So she knows why I’m back.
‘Yes,’ he replied out of gratitude. After all, she did try to get some resources for Aurora back then, though that ended in failure.
Yulia replied quickly, ‘I heard someone saying that a new storm is brewing on the Internet. They are targeting you again.’
Ian didn’t really care about that at this point. He hesitated for a while before texting back, ‘It’s fine. I can handle it.’ He clicked on send, and a moment later, he texted, ‘TTYL. I’m busy.’
Yulia was probably free at the moment, since she kept texting him over the last couple of days. If he didn’t stop her, she wouldn’t stop talking.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
