The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1736

Chapter 1736 Aurora in Good Spirits

Although Cindy was friends with Ian for quite a long time, it was only recently that their friendship blossomed into something more. If she really agreed for him to do anything, she would think that she was being too easy. However, when he kissed and hugged her, she felt blissful and enjoyed the feeling. Hence, she was conflicted.

Both of them did not say anything until Aurora informed them that dinner was ready. She was also aware of the rules. When she went over to call them, she knocked on the door first. “Come out now. It’s time for dinner.”

After immediately acknowledging Aurora, Cindy turned to immediately walk to the door. She was worried that if she replied any later, Aurora would misunderstand that there was something fishy going on in the room.

Once she walked out of the room, she helped Aurora with the cutleries. Since Ian was still in his room, they sat down at the dining table first.

Aurora was still in good spirits—she was still softly humming.

Cindy raised her head and looked over. “What happened? You seemed to be joyous. Do share the good news.”

“Oh, there isn’t any good news.” Aurora chuckled. “I just suddenly feel that life has become quite comfortable.”

It was something that Cindy found hard to believe. Then, she leaned forward and looked into Aurora’s eyes. “Previously, you were saying that something was wrong with Ian. Look at you now—you are the same as well. You are acting weird today.”

Upon hearing Cindy’s comment, Aurora winked. “Is that so? Is it obvious?”

Cindy straightened her posture. “It’s very obvious.”

Aurora pouted as she thought about it, but she eventually spilled the beans in the end. “I received a call from Sean after waking up from my nap earlier. His tone and the content of the call made me delighted.”

It was enough to cause Cindy to tense up. Then, she quickly asked, “What happened? What did he say?”

Aurora’s lips were twitched upward as she replied, “He didn’t say anything important. He just mentioned that we should gather together once we are free. Then, he’s going to send out an article. I think he wants to help Ian to rebuke the comments online. No matter what, I’m happy after hearing that.”

“I see,” Cindy responded. “So, did he mention who will be attending the gathering?”

Sean didn’t specify the details on that matter and Aurora never thought about asking him either. When he gave her a ring, he spoke in an extremely respectful tone, which made Aurora happy enough. So, it didn’t occur to her to enquire about such details. Apart from that, it was not that important to know who the attendees would be. The most important thing was to have the article published so that it would help to greatly improve Ian’s image.

After thinking about it, Cindy replied, “I think they would be the people from the Morgan Family.”

She was mainly thinking of Bryce as in a few days’ time, they would be bringing Aurora to meet him. If they had another dinner not long after that, Cindy had no clue as to how the comments and gossip would be when the news was being reported one after another.

She was slightly worried about this. Aurora’s image was already quite negative and now that she interacted with Bryce, Cindy was worried that other people would spin tales that would have a further negative effect on Aurora. However, since she was not confident about the matter, she decided to remain silent after an internal debate.

After a while, Ian came out from his room. He learned his lesson this time around as his clothes and hair were tidy.

Cindy shot him a glance before she quickly turned away. She was worried that history would repeat itself whereby he would come out shirtless like last time.

After all, Aurora had always been an observant and sensitive person. If that happened, she would clearly know that both of them did embarrassing matters in the room earlier.

After Ian took his seat next to Cindy, he raised his head to look at Aurora. “What are you guys talking about? You seem to be in a good mood.”

Aurora smiled. “Enough of me. Tell me first how your day has been and I’ll tell you mine.”

He pouted and decided against asking her. Since he had already heard some sounds outside just now, he figured that Cindy already knew what was going on. Ian could obtain all the information he needed from her later that evening.

During their dinner, Aurora’s phone rang. Since her phone was on the dining table with the display screen upward, Cindy looked at it when the screen flashed.
