The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1742

Chapter 1742 Sleeping Together

Ian stared at her lips, and he finally couldn’t take it anymore. “Okay, okay. You’re likable.” And then he shut her up with a kiss straight on the lips.

While they were making out, Cindy heard some sounds coming from the living room. Aurora had come back out of the restroom and called out to her since she wasn’t there. However, she didn’t linger around for too long and went back to her own room, humming as she did so. After that, it was pure silence in the living room, and Cindy could finally be at ease.

Aurora was a smart woman in more ways than one. Time had given her great wisdom, and she knew that a new couple would love to be alone more than anything.

Ian heard his mother too, and he chuckled. “I think she’s in a bit of a hurry.”

Cindy was in too much of a haze to realize what Ian was trying to say.

They made out for a while longer, but Cindy found herself shocked in the end, for both of them were stark naked before she knew it. It was the first time Cindy found herself in this situation, and it stunned her.

Ian’s breathing was sounding heavy, but he didn’t do it on purpose. It was all instinct. He buried his head in her shoulder, asking, “Can I?”

Cindy opened her eyes. The light above her was still on, and it seemed to be glistening. She raised her hand to cover herself, whispering, “I’m scared.”

Ian could understand where she was coming from. “I see.” He kissed the corner of her lips and got off from her, then he covered her with a blanket.

They lay in bed side by side. None of them spoke a word, but their breathing was heavy.

A while of silence later, Ian got out of bed. “Go to sleep. I’m going to smoke,” he lied. Ian actually went to the bathroom to take a cold shower.

A while later, Cindy went over to the door and opened it by a millimeter. When she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom, she blushed and closed the door. She then went back to bed and turned all the lights off, leaving on a night light for Ian. She found some solace within the room’s darkness, for if she left the lights on, she would feel vulnerable.

Ian only came back after a while, and he looked slightly wet. He stood beside the bed, staring at Cindy, who had her back facing him. Even though it was not the first time they shared a bed, Ian still felt butterflies fluttering in his stomach, for it was the first time they lay in bed naked. He climbed into bed carefully and only rolled over to hug Cindy after a while.

Cindy tensed up, so it was obvious that she was awake.

Ian kissed her ears. “I won’t do anything. Don’t worry.”

They remained in this position for a while, and eventually, Cindy drifted to sleep. Because of all the making out they did earlier, she had a kind of a wet dream that night. Naturally, her dream was about everything Ian did to her earlier. He was guiding her into new territory, and they were about to touch fourth base, but they stopped before the final step.

Compared to her reserved attitude in real life, Cindy was more daring in her dream. She even felt a little frustrated that they stopped right before they did it. Why did we stop? I’m a grown woman. I can take responsibility for my actions, and I’m willing to.

That frustration still lingered even after Cindy woke up the next morning. The irritation made her regret the fact that she said no to Ian the night before.

Ian had woken up before she did, but he didn’t get up and was still hugging Cindy.

Cindy rolled over and curled up in his arms. “What’s the time now?”

It was still early, and Ian didn’t even look at the time. “Still early. You can sleep in,” he answered.
