The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1747

Chapter 1747 Photo Taking

Bryce was silent after that. Nobody spoke, and the room went quiet.

Cindy looked at Aurora, who was still gazing at Bryce. She looked calm, but she seemed to be in a daze.

Bryce knew his sons had nothing to say to him. Even if they did not hate him, they didn’t necessarily love him either, so he nudged to the side and said to them, “Can you leave us for a moment? I want to talk to her alone.”

Sean, Ian, and Cindy knew what Bryce was trying to do, so they got up and went out of the ward.

Aurora was surprised that Bryce wanted to talk to her. She panicked for a moment, but she calmed herself down swiftly enough.

Ian and Cindy came out holding hands, and as expected, someone was taking pictures outside.

When he saw them coming out, the photographer nodded at Ian and came over.

Ian asked, “How many pictures did you take?”

The photographer quickly showed Ian the photos he took. “A lot. We’ll pick some from this batch.” He looked at Ian, then at Sean, and he bit his lip in silence.

Ian knew what the photographer was trying to say, so he said, “It’s fine. You can take the photos if you want.”

The photographer nodded and went away, putting some distance between him and the trio. He then took a few pictures of them for the article they were going to write.

Ian was an expert in posing for photos. He even stood next to Sean and pretended to be discussing something with him. In reality, he was actually talking about something. “My men found some dirt on them. It should be posted today.”

Sean paused for a moment. “About that woman and her children?”

“Yes, exactly. It’s all about them, but not in a nice way. You guys might get dragged into this too, so be on the lookout,” Ian told him honestly and omitted no information.

Sean didn’t mind. That woman and her children held no position in the company, so they would not affect business that much. He wasn’t even worried about their effect on the family’s reputation. The Morgans’ infamy was known far and wide. Even without them, Bryce alone would have dragged the whole family down.

Sean nodded. “Good. I actually have some dirt on them as well, but I can’t just expose them however I want.” Sean was a meticulous man. He already had dirt on that woman and her children a long time ago, but he never acted on it. Even if he could assign someone to expose it to the media, he would still be the prime suspect if the affair went viral.

The media was an expert in making connections. Without Bryce or Ian around, he was the only one with a conflict of interest in the matter. If either one was involved in a scandal, the media would suspect the other side of foul play. Now that Ian was playing his part, Sean was more than happy to let him do the deed.

Ian paused for a moment. “She might harass you once it’s posted online. Be ready for it.”

Sean snorted. “It’s fine. I already told the guys at the company to chase them out if they were to come again.”

Well, that’s one way to burn all bridges. Ian nodded. So he’s not going to tolerate them anymore, I guess.

Bryce and Aurora did not talk long. A while later, Aurora came out and told them to go in.

Cindy stared at Aurora, but she did not seem agitated or sad, nor did she look happy or excited. She just looked calm and tranquil.

They went back into the room. This time, Bryce was leaning against his bed, looking tired.

Ian had nothing to say to him, so he sat down on the couch after he went in. Sean, however, poured Bryce a glass of water and asked if he was feeling unwell.

Bryce waved him off. “No. I just feel tired from waking up too early this morning.”
