The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1751

Chapter 1751 Aftermath

She had forgotten all about that, and all she cared about was the sex she was having with Ian.

It was already quite late in the day when they were done. Exhausted, Cindy rolled over and drifted to sleep, while Ian looked satisfied. He lay beside her for a while, then he got up and wore his pajamas before going out.

Aurora was still in her room and silent. Ian looked around for a moment before going back to roll Cindy up with the sheets and taking her to the bathroom.

Cindy’s eyelids felt heavy, and her legs were shaking.

Ian whispered, “Bathe, and then get back to sleep. I’ll change the sheets.”

Cindy leaned against the wall. “Okay.” She turned the faucet on to fill the bathtub with water.

Ian first changed the sheets, then he took Cindy’s pajamas to the bathroom.

Cindy bathed as quickly as possible. It was tiring after all that action. When Ian came in with her pajamas, she dried herself, changed into the pajamas, and came out of the bathroom. Then, she looked at Aurora’s room. “Aurora’s not up yet,” she told Ian. “Do you want to talk to her?”

Ian shook his head. “In a minute. I just ordered a delivery. I’ll call her when it comes.”

Cindy nodded. She grabbed the hair dryer and blew her hair quickly before going back to the bed. Her whole body felt like it was about to fall apart. Wow, I didn’t even move that much, but I’m still exhausted.

Not Ian, however. He was refreshed, and he went to the living room to see the news online. As he scrolled through his phone, he saw that the news segment was filled with Leah’s scandals as well as he and his family’s visit to the hospital. Because of Simon, the public kept saying that Ian was just a fake Morgan, and that Bryce had kicked him out long ago. They even said Bryce had decided to never meet Ian again, but that was debunked after the visit came to the surface.

There weren’t only pictures of Ian talking to Bryce in the ward on the news page; there were even pictures where Ian and Sean were talking business outside the ward, and the pictures made it look like they were getting along well, for Bryce and Sean did smile at Ian.

The news also covered the meeting between Aurora and Bryce. There were pictures to back it up too. It showed Aurora in Bryce’s ward, talking about something. It must have been a pleasurable talk, for Bryce was smiling.

The media had dubbed Aurora as Bryce’s mistress, and they said she was given the boot back then. However, after seeing the news about the visit, some people started to say that the breakup was an amicable one.

Aurora had never said anything bad about Bryce after the breakup. The bad romance that garnered her infamy was brushed aside, as if she had decided to leave her past in the past after they broke up.

It was the same with Bryce. He never talked about Aurora, nor did he ever reply to any questions the public had.

None of them ever talked about their relationship, and all the ‘news’ was just the media’s own conjectures. In retrospect, the past news about this relationship truly did seem like the media coming up with their own interpretation to sway the court of public opinion, and they provided no evidence whatsoever.

Ian only skimmed through the news. Thanks to Bryce and the company’s control on the comments, he could imagine how things would end this time. It was not the first time he had seen this, so he didn’t exactly care.

He sat there for a while before going to take a look at Cindy. The girl was lying spread-eagled on the bed. Ian was reminded of what happened earlier, and he stared at Cindy again. The room might be dark, but all he could see was what she looked like naked.
