Chapter 1758 The Show Begins

A short while later, Ian heard a commotion right outside the door. It was mostly Leah shouting, telling someone to lay their hands off her.

The ladies stood up and quickly went to the door so they could see what was happening. However, the peephole did not allow the three of them to watch at the same time. Eventually, Aurora got the spot, and when she looked outside, she kept clicking her tongue in delight.

Cindy was watching her, and Aurora’s look of joy was tickling the curiosity within her heart. Ah, I want to know what’s happening out there too.

Ian stood beside her and wrapped his arm around her. She pushed him away in embarrassment and shot him a warning glare. Ian smiled, and he gave her a look that said, “She’s not looking at us”. Even so, Cindy didn’t want to be too bold, so she pinched his waist and bared her teeth at him. Instead of backing off, Ian held her chin and gave her a kiss.

Cindy’s eyes bulged. She tried to push him away, but Ian chuckled in delight.

Aurora had no idea about Cindy and Ian making out right beside her. Her attention was fully and solely on the event that was taking place right outside the door.

Leah was going all out. The men who came tried to take her away, but she tussled with them and even tore her clothes off so she could accuse them of molesting her.

Oh ho ho, so she’s going all the way down to Shamelessville, huh?

Ian didn’t care what was happening outside, for he trusted that Logan’s men could handle the situation by themselves. Leah was just a middle-aged woman and her children weren’t exactly strong, so Logan’s group of burly men should be able to handle the troublemakers. But honestly, it’s really freaking noisy out there. I want to have some peace and quiet. He wrapped his hand around Cindy’s waist and dragged her to the bedroom.

Cindy was understandably shocked, for she thought Ian was going to do something lewd to her. She flailed her arms around, trying to struggle free from his grasp. However, men were born stronger than women in terms of physical strength, and Cindy didn’t want to be loud, so Ian successfully took her back to the room without her struggling too much.

He closed the door and pinned her against it.

Cindy shot him a glare. “What are you doing? Open the door. Aurora’s going to take this the wrong way if she sees us.”

Ian didn’t care about it that much, and he went in for the kiss. “What do you mean ‘take it the wrong way’? This is no misunderstanding, make no mistake about it.”

Cindy pushed him again. “No, no, no! Get off, you.”

Ian chuckled. “Don’t be afraid. My mom’s attention is grabbed by what’s happening outside. It’s a ruckus out there, and it might be so for a while, so relax.”

Relax? Relax, my foot! Cindy could not relax even after Ian had given his assurance. They had gone into the bedroom in broad daylight and closed the door. Even if Aurora didn’t find that suspicious, Cindy herself thought it was embarrassing.

Ian didn’t think that much about it. He just pushed her up against the door and started kissing her. She tried to struggle, but it was nothing to Ian.

Aurora didn’t realize Ian and Cindy were gone, just like what Ian had said. She was still watching the show outside, and it made her chuckle like a child, for it was becoming a comedy skit. She never expected the woman Bryce fell for would turn out to be such an unreasonable wench. Leah had taken her clothes off and accused the men of molesting her. She was wearing nothing but a bra inside, and her body was getting out of shape despite her desperate attempt to keep it in shape. Age always took its toll after all. She should have just kept her clothes on. My eyes are burning!

The neighbors who tried to argue with them had come out as well, but this time, they were just watching the show by the sidelines.

Simon and Sally were pinned down by two men, and they could not help their mother even if they wanted to.

Aurora was seized by an urge to go out and watch the show in the premium seat, but after giving it some thought, she decided against adding fuel to the fire, so she only watched in silence from behind the door.

The men outside were going easy on Leah at first, since she was a woman after all.
