In any case, there was nothing much to say. Leah had worn thick makeup today, so the marks on her face were covered up, but it was still obvious that she had indeed been beaten up. Ian didn't care whether Leah would show up tomorrow, and at this point, even if those three people didn't show up, he and Sean could handle the matter well. After all, it was just pushing a corpse into the incinerator to be burned into ashes before it was placed into an urn and buried in the earth. All in all, it was not a very complicated process.
Soon, Logan asked, “He was so ostentatious during his lifetime. I wonder if he ever thought that he would one day fall into such a state.”
Bryce was probably angered to death. In fact, this ending really didn't fit his character at all. Judging from Bryce's high-profile lifestyle in the past, he should have lived a long life with women on both sides until he died in his sleep, after which he would be buried with the bells and whistles together with a large funeral procession. The world was unpredictable, and no one would have thought that he would die in such a way.
Logan did not stay with Ian for too long. After all, he had a pregnant wife at home, so he was also a little worried. Ian waited for Logan to leave before he called Hannah to tell her of his itinerary. Hannah was elated and said that she had been discussing collaborations with a few investors recently. Ian had a big scandal before, but after they dealt with it, he was able to emerge from it completely clean. Despite him being involved in many scandals, all of them were successfully overturned in the end. In addition, this time, the investors had more faith in him, so he had gotten some more resources.
As he had chatted on the phone for more than half an hour, Cindy took the opportunity to sterilize the wound behind Aurora's ear again. Aurora couldn't help but ask Cindy whether Cindy had seen Leah when she went to the Morgan Residence today. Cindy didn't have anything to hide, so she briefly talked about Leah’s state that she saw today. She also said that Leah didn't seem to suffer any major injuries.
Aurora snorted. “It seems that I was too light on her. I should have dealt a heavier blow on her.”
Hearing that, Cindy smiled. “Forget it. You've already beaten her up like that, which I think it's already quite good.”
Aurora paused, and then said to Cindy, “Ian's manager called me before and invited me to return with Ian. Besides, the TV drama we agreed on before is considering changing my role.”
Cindy was surprised for a moment and quickly asked, “Changing roles? What kind of change? Why do you have to change roles? Didn't you already discuss it before?”
Aurora quickly explained, “Don't worry, they said that they have changed my role to a slightly more positive one which will be more pleasing to the audience. My previous role was a cunning and evil mother-in-law. Maybe because of the current news, my reputation has changed a bit, so they thought of taking this opportunity to change my role to a positive one to help clear my name.”
She seemed to know a lot about the matter, so Cindy pulled her hand over with a smile. “It's good then. Your life is developing in a good direction.”
Breathing a long sigh of relief, Aurora said with emotion, “Yeah, this is something I have never dared to dream about before.”
After that, Cindy got up to look for Ian, who happened to hang up the phone and was about to come out of the room. She went over and hugged Ian's waist with her arms while asking, “What did Hannah say?”
Ian was about to speak when the phone in his hand suddenly rang again. He picked up the phone to check the caller ID while Cindy was still in his arms. When they both looked down, they saw the name displayed on his phone screen at the same time.
It was Yulia who called.
Cindy pursed her lips and did not speak, but Ian didn't think too much and merely answered the phone. Yulia's voice on the phone was normal; however, when compared to talking to Cindy, Cindy could feel that Yulia’s attitude toward Ian was much better. Yulia asked Ian how things were going on there before asking when he was returning.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
