The female employees weren’t as strong as Leah was, but if the male employees were to stop her, they’d be the villain in a MeToo story. In the end, Sean had to call the police, and the meeting with the lawyer was fruitless. In the next few meetings, either Leah or Simon would be the one to disrupt the talk. It was as if this was their full time job, and their source was accurate. Even when Sean came up with the meeting place at the last moment, they were still able to find out.
For some reason, Ian only felt like laughing after hearing the tale. He even asked the lawyer what Sean’s reaction was to the whole fiasco.
The lawyer sighed in resignation. “I think he’s used to it. He doesn’t really show any reaction.”
Every time the meeting was disrupted, Sean would just tell the lawyer that they would meet next time. He didn’t seem angry, as if he was already used to it.
Maybe he really is used to it. He knows how they’ll react. He has lived with them almost all his life, so they should know each other well. Leah has been causing a lot of ruckus because of the will, and they won’t stop now. Sean must be deriving some form of entertainment value from them at this point.
Ian chuckled. “It’s fine. I’m not in a hurry, so you take it slow. If they keep this up, then stop for now. They’re quite the screamers. I want to see how long it’ll take for them to snap out of it.”
The lawyer laughed dryly as well. “If you’re not in a hurry, then so am I. Honestly, the last two days have been frustrating.”
He never thought someone could be so obsessed. The will was already set in stone, and it was useless even if they tried to cause a ruckus. However, Leah didn’t seem to understand that. She thought that as long as Sean and the lawyer didn’t finish the process, the inheritance wouldn’t belong to Ian.
Even if it didn’t belong to Ian, Leah wouldn’t be able to get her hands on it. How did she get this far? Not only did she fail as a human, she failed as a mother too. Even the lawyer shook his head, as he felt sad for Bryce.
Bryce was a veteran in the business world. He should have a shrewd eye for people, so the lawyer wondered why he married a woman like Leah. She was probably the worst woman he had an affair with. The lawyer thought Leah managed to trick Bryce with her skills, but now that he had seen what she was like, he realized that she only did things the stupid way. How on earth did she trick Bryce? What was he thinking? He should have had a lot of experience with women, so he should be smart enough to see through them. How did he make this blunder?
Ian didn’t talk much with the lawyer. It was just a progress report, and Ian hung up after he knew what happened. Then, he texted Sean and asked him how he was doing.
Sean called him back immediately. Apparently, he wasn’t busy.
Ian laughed. “The lawyer told me about the mess at your place.”
Sean laughed as well. “Yeah. It’s free entertainment.” Then he said, “Sometimes, I think my life is too boring. It’s great that someone’s trying to spice things up, or it’d be lackluster.” He had to think that way to comfort himself.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
