The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1924

Chapter 1924 Chaos

Ian shook his head, smiling. “But I think he’s having fun. Actually, if he wants to take care of Leah and Simon, he can finish them easily.”

Ian could say that Sean didn’t do anything overtly criminal, but being a businessman, he must have toed the line a lot. He could have dealt with Leah and Simon with violence if he wanted to, but since he was being lax, Ian thought Sean might just be trying to get some entertainment because he was bored.

Cindy cut her steak up. “But he’s not getting any younger, so why isn’t he settling down? If he’s alone, there’s no point in making that much money.” Most people want to make money so their kids can live a better life. He doesn’t even want a partner, so why is he working so hard?

Ian was in no position to comment on Sean’s choice. He only said, “He probably got affected by Bryce’s problematic marriage. He’s worried he might run into the same kind of problem.” He’s worried the taste in women might be hereditary. If he ends up with a woman like Leah, he’d be doomed. His words, not mine.

Cindy thought about it, then she said, “But he has to try. If he doesn’t, he will never know what happens. I mean, he might run into a good girl.”

Ian couldn’t do much about it. He did give some hints to Sean, but Sean didn’t sound like he had plans to get a girl anytime soon. Ian didn’t know how he should advise Sean anymore. I can’t give him any advice. I’m not married yet, so I’m not qualified. I need to be happily married first before I can tell him to consider marriage.

Ian and Cindy had their dinner slowly. It was difficult for them to enjoy life under these circumstances, so they had to seize every chance they had.

Cindy wiped her mouth clean after she was done, then she said, “It’d be great if you aren’t a star. We can go on dates like this every day.”

They could do it if they wanted to, since the company had no restrictions on this. However, they had a lot to worry about whenever they went out. It’d be problematic if they ran into fans who loved to make a scene out of everything. Some celebrities would hate it if they weren’t recognized, as they would think they weren’t famous enough. However, most of them did not want to be recognized, as it would disrupt their lives.

They couldn’t have their cake and eat it. After they had their dinner and paid the bill, they walked out of the restaurant, and the first thing they saw was a crowd surrounding the entrance. When the crowd saw Ian, they started screaming, much to Cindy’s shock.

Ian reflexively defended Cindy, but he was also dumbfounded as well. Nobody should have found out about this, so why did this happen? The fans this time weren’t as calm as the ones they met earlier. Some even pounced on Ian and tried to hug him, while some tried to give him gifts. It was chaotic, and it was the scene Ian and Cindy didn’t want to see the most. Accidents would happen easily in scenes like this.

Cindy went back to the restaurant so she wouldn’t trouble Ian. When the waitstaff heard the commotion, they went to see what was happening.

The waitress who asked for Ian’s autograph just now quickly took Cindy to a room when she found out what happened and asked Cindy to hide for a while. She said, “I’ll see what’s going on with Ian. If it’s possible, I’ll take him here. Wait for me right here.”

Cindy nodded at her and said thank you. The waitress smiled. “It’s alright. It’s my job.”
