The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1954

Chapter 1954 Sullen

Cindy felt a bit sad for Ian.

Ian didn’t make out too much with her. He hastily groomed himself and went out. Before he did, he made a call, and Cindy heard that the driver was already waiting for him.

Cindy went to the balcony and opened the window, then she looked down. The driver was waiting downstairs, and Ian went up to him. Cindy waited for a while before she went back to bed.

If he’s not a celebrity, we should be living fine. She was starting to get some ideas. Cindy didn’t sleep after that. She only lay on the bed and stayed awake until morning. After that, she quickly washed herself up. As she was alone, she wasn’t in the mood to make breakfast. She chose to eat out, then she went to the company.

There were already a few people there when she came. Some were chatting with their friends, while some were working on their own stuff. Cindy never did like to gossip, so she went to her seat, ignoring the looks everyone was giving her.

A while later, someone came over. It was none other than the lady who kept trying to get some new gossip out of her. Even until then, Cindy didn’t know what her name was.

The girl whispered, “I heard Serena gave you a private lesson last night.”

Cindy frowned. “Who told you that?”

The girl arched her eyebrow. “Everyone knows. You and Serena left really late last night, and you two left together, right?”

Cindy felt like laughing. She did meet some people in the lobby when she came out with Serena the night before, but she never thought those people would come up with that kind of theory just because they saw her walking with Serena. Cindy had nothing to hide, so she said, “My draft is flawed, so she pointed out my mistakes. That’s not a private lesson, right?”

Serena would also analyze the other apprentices’ drafts and point out their mistakes. What she said to Cindy the night before was almost the same thing she would say to everyone else. That’s not a private lesson.

The girl didn’t believe her. “She didn’t give you any tips or tricks?”

Cindy sighed. “I’m just a newbie. Even if she did teach me, I wouldn’t get it.”

The girl clicked her tongue, then she slid back to her own place. The group of people were probably saying that Cindy was good friends with Serena. Cindy didn’t mind, though she wondered if it would affect Serena’s image.

A while later, she took her draft out and changed it up according to the pointers Serena gave her. Then, she took the file Serena assigned to her and chose a theme to work on. She could ignore all the noises around her when she was in the zone.

Cindy started making a design for a winter long coat. It was her own style, but since Serena said she had the tendency to add too many elements in her design, she cut the extra elements out and only opted for a minimalist design. Oh. Not bad. Cindy finished the first draft a while later, though she would have to make some changes later on.

Since she was free, she thought of Ian again. I wonder how he’s doing. She took her phone out and scrolled through the entertainment news. Since Ian was already starting his shoot, there wasn’t a lot of news about him. The ones she was reading were old news.

She couldn’t get any news about him online, but she didn’t want to call him either. Her mood sank a little. She used to be the first to know whatever Ian was doing, but now she had to wait for the news like every other netizen.
