The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1984

Chapter 1984 Flirt

They chatted while they made dinner. Aurora asked her about work and wanted to know if Cindy was running into any trouble. Cindy wouldn't tell her about the bad news, so she said she was starting to get used to it and she wasn't facing any problems.

Aurora didn't know much about office politics. Since Cindy said she was fine, Aurora believed her, then she said, "You're working now, and Ian's in a shoot. It's boring being alone at home."

Cindy smiled. She was reminded of the first two days where Aurora and Ian were working. She had wanted to talk to someone but there was nobody around, and she had felt bored out of her mind too. Cindy said, "You'll feel better once you start to get busy. I felt the same way when I came home from work for the past couple of days."

Okay, now's the time to bring this up. "That's why you guys have to get married and pop a baby out. Once you have a baby, you'll be busy whether you like it or not."

Cindy smiled. "We have to take it slow, and it really depends on Ian too."

She wasn't looking forward to marriage, but she wasn't refusing it either. She was going with the flow.

Cindy looked at the time after they finished cooking. Ian said he's coming back tonight, but he's still out. She hesitated for a moment and sent a voice message asking him when he would get home, but Ian didn't reply.

Cindy wasn't too upset about it. She put her phone down and asked Aurora to come over and have dinner. "Ian's probably still working." However, not long after they started eating, she heard the front door rattling. Cindy stopped eating, and she realized what was going on.

She quickly stood up and went toward the door, but Ian had opened it before she could do anything. It slowly swung open, and Ian and Cindy came face to face. Cindy wanted to push Ian right away and keep him from coming in. "Don't come in. There's a guest here."

Ian was surprised that she was pushing him out, but then he laughed and tried to squeeze his way in. "Really? I'd like to see who the guest is. Come out, cur."

They were having a little fun, and Aurora heard them, but she didn't tell Ian that the guest was her. Instead, she just sat there and listened.

Cindy was still pushing Ian away, and she laughed. "You can't come in. I thought you'd come home late, so I called the guest over. Just wait for me in the elevator. I'll ask her to leave first."

Ian picked her up and went into the house. He kicked the front door close and went into the living room. "Why? I can send the guest off."

Cindy locked her legs around his waist and wrapped her arms around his neck, and she chuckled.

When he came in and saw his mother, Ian froze up for a moment. Oh, so we do have a guest. Eh, it's normal. Aurora has nothing to do, and they're good friends. Of course they'll meet up if they have time.

Aurora chortled. "You two are adults now, but you're still acting like kids. Come and have dinner."

Ian didn't have dinner yet. He put Cindy down and washed his hands, then he went to the dining room without changing his clothes. Halfway through dinner, he asked his mother about the drama's OST.

Aurora told him about the talk she had with the production team. Cindy didn't know that Yulia helped Aurora with this, but now that she did, she paid more attention when Aurora brought up the details of the talk she had with the production team.

The talk had gone smoothly, and Aurora said that the production team even told her that the OST was made with her in mind.
