Chapter 2159 An Invitation
Valerie straightened herself up and went to the set. Ian was already there. Even though there was some distance between them, their eyes met, and they smiled.
Meanwhile, Cindy was almost late for work. Ian went a bit too far last night, and she slept for a long time after he had gone out for work. When she woke up, she quickly got dressed and went straight to work without eating breakfast. After she clocked in, she heaved a sigh of relief and went to her office, but then someone called out to her.
That person called out to her by her first name. So, she turned around to see who it was, but it took her a few moments to realize the person who called her was the one who came to talk to Serena the day before during lunch. She had no idea who this person was, and Serena didn't introduce her. In the end, Cindy approached that person. "Hi, may I help you?"
The person looked at Cindy, smiling. "Care to have lunch together?"
Cindy was surprised. She didn't even talk to this person, so they weren't acquainted. She blinked, wondering why this person had invited her for lunch. Knowing what Cindy was thinking, the person smiled. "I'm a designer from another team, and I'm Miss Warhol's junior in college."
Cindy nodded, smiling. She wondered what she should say. I've never seen this person in the column of designers. Could it be that her ID pic is way different from her actual visage?
The person added, "I know Miss Warhol dotes on you. I'm her friend, so you can come to me if you need anything."
Cindy thanked the person. The person looked at her closely. Even though it was for a moment, Cindy caught the judgmental look she was given, then the person said, "I'll be waiting at the cafeteria, then. Let's have lunch together." With that, she left before Cindy could say anything.
Cindy inhaled sharply as she wondered why that person had invited her for lunch. A while later, she went back to her office, but right after she cleared her table and sat down, Serena came in.
She went right to Cindy's table and tapped on it. "Come with me."
