Chapter 2182 Gary’s Worries

Gary let out a breath and continued, "I came across Lucy at a dinner party back then. After it ended, the person who held the party told me that he meant to play Cupid for the two of us. I have no idea what Lucy thought about it at that time, but since I wasn't aware of it, I didn't turn her down straight away. Therefore, even though I made it clear to her later, she was still relentless. She's a little obstinate. If you don't make something clear to her right away, it'll be pointless to do so later. As you can see, I'm in a bit of trouble now."

He paused for a moment with a helpless expression. "I was the one who recommended you to your company. She's aware of that, so I'm worried she'll make things difficult for you.
