Madelyn was hesitant and indecisive when faced with decisions. She was completely different from Zach.
Zach responded, "No one is better suited than us to raise this child. Since we've brought him home, he'll always be our child if you want to."
Madelyn did not understand why Zach was doing this. She thought, 'Is it merely because I casually mentioned that I wanted a child?'
However, what she truly desired was a child who truly belonged to her, not just any random abandoned baby.
She did not want to continue arguing with him. So, she said, "Up to you! When he gets better, register him with the relevant authorities and then give him a name."
Zach nodded, "Okay. I'll have Kevin prepare the necessary documents next month."
"Okay," Madelyn casually agreed.
Soon, they had nothing to talk about and just stopped chatting.
In the late, quiet night, influenced by alcohol and under just the right circumstances, Madelyn noticed Zach's gaze gradually turning unusual. She got up and wanted to escape. But before she could take her second step, she suddenly felt dizzy. When she regained her senses, she found herself pressed beneath him. Zach held her tightly and said, "Were you trying to run away? Did you think you'd succeed?"
He then started unbuttoning his shirt using his hands with distinct knuckles, revealing his strong chest.
Madelyn said, "You..."
As soon as she said one word, Zach leaned forward, parted her legs, and moved his hand downward...
Zach kissed her on the lips passionately and intensely.
Just as the passion gradually intensified, the baby's crying suddenly echoed in the ward. Madelyn thought it was her hallucination.
After half a minute later, she finally realized it was not a hallucination.
