Madelyn said it through gritted teeth. The more she looked at him, the more she grew emotional. Then, Madelyn got off the bed, put on her slippers, and left the room. After that, she walked toward the drawing room and shut the door.
Margaret heard the door slam shut, scaring both Dalton and her. Madelyn clutched her chest and felt out of breath. Margaret swiftly put Dalton down and walked over. She asked worriedly, "Oh my! What's happening, Ms. Jent? Is your heart in pain? I'll call the family physician for you."
Madelyn grabbed at Margaret's shirt and answered, "I'm fine. I'll be okay in a moment."
However, Madelyn knew deep down that Zach was forcing her to compromise. He was forcing her to marry him.
Downstairs, Cecilia sat at the dining table, eating the food that the servants prepared. The dishes were all Madelyn's favorites.
"Your chef is quite good," Cecilia complimented, looking at Zach. She smiled and reassured him, "Don't worry, she'll think this through. If you treat her too well now, she will stay this way. You shouldn't have this weakness, Zach."
Zach kept quiet, but his expression was cold. A cutlery set was placed in front of him. However, within three seconds, Zach angrily smashed the bowl onto the ground and broke it into a million pieces. The servants in the kitchen knew Zach was upset, so no one dared to walk over. They all kept themselves busy in the kitchen.
Cecilia froze when Zach got up and went upstairs. In the end, he was still worried about Madelyn.
Cecilia called for him in a panic, "Zach, if you go upstairs and look for her now, she will only treat you even worse. You must take my advice if you want Madelyn to behave and become your plaything."
What she implied was, 'Who do you think you are?' If Zach were not present, Cecilia would have gone mad.
"Ms. Jent?!" Margaret cried when she suddenly saw Madelyn come downstairs. She had a satchel on her shoulder with the album inside it. When she arrived downstairs, she ignored Zach and walked toward Cecilia. Then, Madelyn told Cecilia, "You don't need to steal him. What belongs to you will be yours."
After that, she placed the ring on the dining table and continued, "This is too valuable for me. I'm returning it to its original owner."
Cecilia asked her, "So you've also reincarnated, right?"
