Raphael POV

It’s been several months since the last time I saw Olivia, I have been living my life, working hard, playing hard.

I became everyone’s worst nightmare, I became even colder, with more thirst for power than ever, I was planning on destroying the English, and the Russians were helping me.

Everyone blocked Olivia’s number, including me. I only go to high society places where I know I won’t be able to find her and the guest list is always checked before I attend for her name, just to be sure.

I know that John is out of the hospital and well, it took him two months to wake up, and for once I didn’t help them out, I didn’t pay for the hospital bill. The only thing I keep paying is her wages for her job. But even that I don’t worry anymore, It comes as a direct debit from my account to the university to her account. I sold the flat and I am no longer her landlord, but she doesn’t know that either.

There is only one of my men looking after her, as she is still my ex-girlfriend and someone might want to use her against me. I have a war coming my way and I need her out of the way. He only reports back once a month to let us know they are alive and well. I don’t want to know anything about her.

If she is single, married, engaged, I don’t want to know. She dismissed me as if I meant nothing to her. I know I did it before, but I came back. I told her I was in love with her and she said no. She didn’t want this life, so that’s what I am doing, keeping her away from me, and my dangerous lifestyle.

“Boss” – I hear Tim’s voice

“Yeah mate” – I say looking at him while he closes the door of my office behind him.

“There’s a Lucia Evans trying to contact you for the bank deal”

“I thought you handled it”

“She won’t do business with me”

“Lucia Evans, that name is familiar”

“Maybe someone you fucked before?”

“Piss off” – I say showing him the middle finger

“Just asking” – he says while he laughs.

“Okay, tell, what’s her name, my new secretary to book a meeting with her tomorrow”

“Alicia”

“Yeah that”

“You need to stop fucking them, you need to stick to the same secretary mate, we’ve been paying a lot of money to avoid them leaking the story to the press”

“What? That they had consensual sex with their boss?”

“Yeah, and that after they get fired”

“I don’t like sluts”

“Yeah, keep it in your pants mate”

“Fine, anything else dad?”

“No” – Tim says while he walks out of my office and I turn my chair around to look at the beautiful view of New York.

It’s getting dark and all the lights are on. It’s almost thanksgiving and soon the Christmas lights will be on.

My phone starts to ring and it’s Joseph

“Boss”

“Yeah?”

“John has been looking for you”

“Who?”

“Olivia’s john”

“What does he want?”

“I don’t know, I just know he’s been asking about you”

“He can find me here”

As if it was fucking magic my office phone rings and it’s Alicia (ha, i remembered her name) saying that Mr. John Campbell was being really pushy to see me.

“let him in”

“I will call you later Joseph”

“Okay boss”

As I put my phone down on my desk I see the door opening and my secretary walking in escorting John.
