The Soldier's Unsurpassable Honor novel Chapter 1418

"How’s that possible? Is the backlash effect of this pill that terrifying? He almost dropped from the final stage of the true-god level to a ninth-grade grandmaster?” Everybody inhaled deeply when they heard Fane's story and were inwardly embarrassed.

It should be mentioned that the pill was truly powerful as it would increase a person's fighting prowess and combat power within a short period of time, and this was something that could help a person win during incredibly crucial moments. However, it seemed that the price to be paid was steep on its own.

“That’s for sure. Cloud wouldn't have taken the pill if the backlash was so terrible. He only took the pill because he was also hurt and wasn't our opponent." Fane could not help but paused for a while before he continued, "Luckily, that flying sword of mine flew quickly or he would've killed me!"

"That's true. It really is quite dangerous now that we're listening to you talking about it!" Randall was overwhelmed with mixed emotions. He thought about it and reminded everybody, "By the way, everybody will be able to go out tomorrow. By then, none of us here can disclose if members of the Hunt family asked us who killed their second or first young master, understood? After all, those from the three families who knew about it are already dead!"

"Don’t worry. We won't say anything, since Young Master Fane saved our lives. Am I right, everybody?" vowed a man from the Lancaster family as he patted his chest. "That's right. We'll keep everything to ourselves from here on out!" "I won't say anything even if they kill me!" One by one, the others also immediately made their promises.

Fane smiled and took out an impressive amount of tokens with the flip of his hand. He then passed it to Randall and Helena." Why don't the two of you take half each?"

"Why are you giving us so many tokens? It's really too much, Brother Fane. We cannot take this!" Randall immediately declined.
