The Soldier's Unsurpassable Honor novel Chapter 3949

Fane turned around and looked at Lourain curiously, "What is it? Who sent you a message?"

Lourain coughed as he frowned in confusion, "It was Maxcus. I don't understand. He told me the news has been spread around rapidly, and most of the warriors on the Toman Battlefield should already know about the situation. However, the situation has changed, and they've all gone into hiding."

In Lourain's mind, everyone should have been working together against the warriors at the peak of the moment the news got out. Yet, Maxcus said that the situation changed and they were in hiding. As for what changed, he did not explain.

Lourain was incredibly confused at that moment. When he thought about what Fane said earlier, he realized that this was probably what Fane was talking about. Just as he was recovering from his shock, footsteps were suddenly heard in front of them.

Right after that, two men appeared in their sights. One of them wore a yellow shirt and looked quite decent. The other was incredibly skinny with small eyes made for a very curious sight.

The two of them looked at Fane and Lourain when they appeared before they exchanged a happy look. The man in the yellow shirt walked forward, "I knew the two of us are luckier than everyone else. Another million is in hand."

As he said that, the man's expression looked like he was showing Fane and Lourain mercy. It was as if making sure they would not suffer too much was a tremendous gift. Those words completely threw Fane and Lourain's thoughts out the window.

If it was just robbery, then they would not need to die. However, those two were clearly not robbing Fane and Lourain. The two of them said so confidently that they would not die too painfully as long as they did not fight back. It meant that they would definitely suffer.

It was just that those two would not be as cruel as the others. Fane and Lourain exchanged a look of confusion. It sounded like those two wanted Heartblood. Were they not supposed to act while disguised as demons? Had they abandoned that notion already?
