Meanwhile, somewhere in the middle of the Absolute Space Sea, the three Lords of Darkness and the four senior leaders from the Time Chamber Sect were running, quickly gaining on the small world where Austin was trying to break through.
Cain and the other wizards from the darkness race had spent a large amount of time trying to find Austin and they had already told the three Lords of Darkness exactly where to go.
Now, the seven of them had a clear destination to reach.
"This is great! Austin is not trying to become a god of chaos inside the Reincarnation Palace.
Imagine if he had gone there instead.
We would have had to enter the Reincarnation Palace to stop him and then, we would have run into the three Lords of Reincarnation.
Like last time, they could have joined with the infinity beasts, and it would have been difficult to defeat them,"
the third Lord of Darkness commented as they ran.
"You're right. However, it's too early for us to feel relaxed.
Austin might not be in the Reincarnation Palace, but there's no way of knowing if the three old guys or the infinity beasts are protecting him nearby or not,"
the first Lord of Darkness pointed out in a hesitant voice. He was always the more cautious one.
"Yes.
We can't rule out that possibility.
We have to remember that when Austin's avatars were cultivating in those space seas, the three Lords of Reincarnation traveled there personally to protect them.
No matter what, we have to mentally prepare ourselves for the fact that we might have to fight them again,"
one of the four senior leaders from the Time Chamber Sect warned. It was important for them to be careful, even when they were feeling confident.
"Then we should be as quiet as possible. When we get close enough to Austin, we will launch a sneak attack. That way, we can run towards him and attack him together and he won't see it coming.
If we don't manage to kill him, at least our attack will affect him and interrupt his breakthrough. We will not walk away empty-handed,"
another senior leader from the Time Chamber Sect said.
"Yes!"
Nodding their heads firmly, the others all verbally agreed to the plan.
The process of breaking through to a god of chaos was a finicky one. If any interruptions occurred, the chances of breaking through would be reduced by a lot.
"I've been wondering how much interference Cain and the others will be able to employ on Austin when they use their Soul Killing Skill,"
the third Lord of Darkness pondered out loud.
"Cain once told me that the Soul Killing Skill is a brilliant cultivation method that comes from the ancient times. It is so powerful that not many creatures can stop it.
If all the wizards activate the skill at the same time, its effect should be amazing,"
the first Lord of Darkness explained.
Currently, in a huge, black temple in a lair of the darkness race, Cain and his fellow wizards were sitting in a circle with their eyes closed. They were all chanting and casting a spell that would produce the Soul Killing Skill inside the building.
The black temple that they were inside was the darkness race's ancestral temple.
While they worked, black runes emerged one after another and spread outwards. They flew until they reached the time and space outside. Then, they passed through it. The black runes picked up speed as they travelled into the distance, heading for the small world where Austin was.
Completely unaware, Austin sat cross-legged in silence
inside the small world.
The Magical Polarity Token floated around him, constantly interacting to form various laws.
Right now, Austin was focused on comprehending those laws.
As time passed, the speed at which he comprehended each law increased.
And while he comprehended the laws, the aura that was unleashed from his body grew more mysterious, making the task rise in difficulty.
"Wow! There are so many different laws here!
It's going to take me a long time to comprehend all of them,"
Austin said to himself, smiling bitterly.
