Aunt Anderson froze instantly; she never thought that her daughter actually got into the company with Harvey's help.
Without his help, Nova wouldn't get that right in the first place.
Safe to say Aunt Anderson, was as ashamed as she was cocky before.
As for Nova, she never wished for Harvey to get her into the company.
How was she going to show off to the Zimmers if that was the case? After all, she was acting all high and mighty just the day before! She couldn't let go of that pride in such a short time! No matter what, she didn’t want to give up! "CEO Pagan! The manager of your personnel department called me!"
Nova exclaimed.
"Wasn't it because of my looks, temperament, and talent?"
"There's no way I got in this company because of this useless live-in son-in-law!"
Nova had a prideful expression, as if she was an actual elite.
After looking at her, the front desk lady and security guards exchanged awkward glances.
Everyone thought that Nova was being a little too conceited.
Harvey turned to Nova with a small smile.
"Since she isn't willing to accept my help..."
"We'll give her a chance to prove herself."
He crossed his arms and headed into the elevator.
Arlet froze.
Then, she looked at Manager Smith.
"Since Sir York has already decided, and Ms.Anderson is such a beautiful and talented young lady..." she began snidely.
"We'll give her a chance to prove herself.Interview her like you would anyone else."
"Nobody has a say in this."
After hearing those words, Manager Smith took a step forward.
