Chapter 5100
Rudy seemed like he was lecturing Titania, but he was speaking in a strange tone while grinning. It was obvious he looked down on Kairi, let alone Harvey.
After hearing the identity of the two, the people behind Alfred and Rudy instantly shifted their gazes to Harvey.
Everyone knew Kairi as the lady of the Patel family, and the strongest of the family’s main branch. She was most likely going to become the family’s next successor.
That said, she would need to find a live-in son-in-law if she wanted to take over the family. She wasn’t allowed to be married into another family.
According to the family’s rules, the man needed to be outstanding enough to fit Kairi’s identity.
Everyone, including Alfred, was sizing up Harvey with judgmental and doubtful smiles. It was a shame; they couldn’t see anything special about him to be worthy of Kairi’s love.
Titania believed that Harvey would starve to death even if he were to work in the fields.
Without hesitation, she stepped forward before sizing up Harvey.
“The prince is right.
“We should have some respect for kept men like you!
“After all, if we don’t respect someone who would throw their pride away in a heartbeat, we’d be in the wrong if they killed themselves for it.
“You have my respect, Harvey!”
“But if this happens again, I’ll slap the teeth out of her damn mouth. If she can’t say anything good, then she should just be shut up.”
Harvey shot Alfred and Rudy a profound gaze.
“Another thing. Relatives with slightly impressive statuses… don’t seem all that different to servants in our eyes, either.”
Alfred and Rudy’s expressions changed instantly. They didn’t think that Harvey would have such a sharp tongue.
“Are you insulting us?!” Titania was boiling with anger. “You must have a death wish, huh?”
“You’re just a live-in son-in-law! How dare you ridicule us princes?!” Rudy exclaimed in rage.
“You’re not even a prince of the main branch, but you’re treating yourself as such? Do you think you’re an actual prince?” Harvey retorted.
