Chapter 253
Aiden knew that Charlie’s request for help was just an excuse to meet, so he agreed.
After hanging up the phone, he went to the laboratory.
Jeffrey curled up on the floor, his face as pale as paper. The wound on his neck burst open, and the blood dyed the gauze red.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, he struggled to open
his eyes.
Seeing Aiden, he felt like he saw a savior. “Help… Help me.”
He had always been the one who poisoned others before and had always thought that the poison wasn’t strong enough.
Now that it was his turn to be poisoned, he suddenly realized how horrible it felt.
His chest felt hot as if it was being roasted at high temperature. The abdominal cramps were also unbearable. The pain was worse than death.
Aiden squatted down and looked coldly at Jeffrey, whose facial features were contorted in pain.
“If you want to live, then give me the information.”
Jeffrey grabbed Aiden’s trouser leg and said with difficulty, “Even if I am a criminal, you can’t throw my life away like this!”
Criminals also had human rights and the right to seek medical treatment.
“Do you deserve human rights?” After Aiden said that, a cold–blooded smile flashed in his slightly narrowed eyes.
“Oh, I forgot. You don’t know that you are already dead.”
Aiden showed him the news that said “Jeffrey” had fallen down the stairs and died, and his body had been cremated.
When Jeffrey saw that he had been “dead,” he spat out a mouthful of blood.
Since he was already “dead,” no one would know if Aiden killed him now.
When Aiden saw that Jeffrey had no desire to live, he said, “No one will know if you are dead, but no one will know if you are alive, either.”
If a person found hope in a desperate situation, he would grasp it at all
costs.

As expected, Jeffrey’s lifeless eyes lit up.
He tightened his grip on Aiden’s trouser leg as if he were holding on to a piece of driftwood when drowning.
“Are you sure I can live if I tell you everything?”
That was his only chance to survive. Even if he didn’t believe that Aiden would let him go, he still wanted to give it a try.
Aiden said affirmatively, “Of course, I never say anything that can’t be done.”
Jeffrey believed that because the Shaw family was proud of their nobility and always did what they promised.
Jeffrey asked again, “How will I live?”
He would rather die than live in a living hell.
Aiden looked at Jeffrey mockingly. “Your information can only buy your life. How you want to live is your own business.”
Hearing that, Jeffrey calmed down.
Even if Aiden let him go, the Shaw family would not. He wouldn’t survive at all. He had to save himself.
“Commander Shaw, I can’t escape anyway. Please detoxify me first, or I may not live to tell you all the information.”
Aiden nodded. “I’ll ask someone to develop an antidote for you first, but whether to give it to you or not, we will see later.”
A carrot was dangled in front of him, and Jeffrey could only be led by the nose. It was useless even if he had recognized the reality.
Jeffrey felt like he was going to die of pain, so he nodded quickly. “Okay, I’ll exchange the information for the antidote.”
“Just wait. I’ll ask Ceci to make the antidote for you later.”
After saying that, Aiden left.
He checked the message just sent on his phone.
Hayden had been sent to the military base.
Aiden borrowed the director’s office and got someone to guard the door. No one was allowed in.
The surveillance cameras and internet in the office were also turned off.
After confirming that there would be no risk of information leakage, Aiden made a video call to the military base.

The video call was quickly answered, and a middle–aged man’s face appeared on the screen.
“Commander Shaw, do you want to have a video call with Hayden?”
Aiden nodded. “Yes.”
If he were not going to meet Charlie later, he would have been on his way to the military base by now.
“Wait a minute. I will go to the detention room now.”
After a while, Aiden saw Hayden with a black hood over his entire head.
Hayden had already woken up on the helicopter. After he woke up, he didn’t think about escaping anymore. Instead, he cooperated and calmly sat on the single bed against the wall.
If he hadn’t been tied up, people would have thought he was invited there for a coffee.
As Hayden listened to the creaking sound of the iron door opening and closing and the approaching footsteps, his heart tightened slightly.
His head was covered with a black hood, but his ears were not plugged. When he got off the helicopter, he had guessed his situation through the brief exchange between the handover persons.
The person in charge of the military base walked up to Hayden and pulled off the black hood on his head.
Hayden subconsciously closed his eyes when the bright light hit him. Until he got used to the light, only he opened his eyes.
A phone screen and Aiden on the screen came into his sight.
As the commander of Peacekeeping Forces, Aiden had been interviewed several times, so Hayden recognized him.
Plus, he was well prepared, so he wasn’t too surprised.
“Commander Shaw, I didn’t expect a small figure like me would have the opportunity to video chat with you.”
Aiden looked at Hayden, who had a round, chubby face and showed a strong sense of friendliness, then raised the corners of his lips mockingly. “As a shareholder of Wolf Killer, you are no small figure.”
Hearing that, Hayden’s smile disappeared instantly.
When he knew he had been brought to Acocester, he had guessed his identity was exposed. After hearing Aiden’s words, he lost even the last

glimmer of hope.
He knew very well that it would be useless to deny, and he asked straightforwardly, “How do you know that?”
“What do you think?”
Hayden said without thinking, “Jeffrey!”
