Susan gasped and trembled when she discovered them.

‘Who are these people? How dare they break into the Carter Mansion?’

Jake laughed and smiled triumphantly as his gaze met Susan’s, and he said, “I didn’t expect this to go so smoothly. We saw you as soon as we got in. Mrs. Carter, come with us, please!”

Jake felt extremely relaxed when he said that, as if he was only engaging in a casual conversation. He thought it would be difficult to sneak into the Carter Mansion to kidnap Susan, but to his astonishment, Susan was the first person they met after they had crept into the garden.

More importantly, Susan was alone, with no one else to protect her!

“Do you want to run?” Jake snorted coldly; he gathered his men and quickly tore after Susan!

Then, Jake gave an order to his men. “Quickly! We must not allow her time and opportunity to get help!”

“Yes!” The men responded in unison.

Susan ran as quickly as she could, and at the same time, she continued to look over her shoulder. She was shocked when she saw the distance between Jake and herself had gotten closer!

However, Susan did not panic. Instead, her lips curved into a confident smile.
