Swish!
Every tree moved as if it was alive in the Peach Blossom Forest! It seemed to be out of order, yet they were easily traceable.
Jake and his men were confused.
“Shit! This is a formation!” someone shouted as the men panicked.
Jake’s face darkened. He did not expect that he would fall into Susan’s trap.
The next second, Jake thought of something and quickly turned around to look for an exit. However, he was utterly stunned to find that the forest surrounded him; there was no exit to be found.
“Don’t panic!”
Jake tried his best to calm down. Finally, he let out a frustrated shriek and said, “Everyone, spread out and try to look for an exit. If you see the woman, send a signal; don’t try to take care of her on your own.”
Jake’s face was ashen in a rage.
As the North Moana Army general, he had seen a lot after fighting alongside the Emperor for so long. He had never expected that a woman would fool him.
“Yes!” his men responded; they quickly spread out in different directions.
Susan, who was hiding nearby, cracked a smile after she saw what had happened. Then, she left the Peach Blossom Forest quietly.
Susan figured that those men were full of vigor and strength; it would not be easy for her to ambush them. Instead, she would rather attempt to capture all of them after they were trapped for a period.
Even though Susan did not know Jake, she knew that Yang Jian must have sent them.
Early the following day, Susan went to the Peach Blossom Forest to check on the men.
Soon, she found Jake and his men in the middle of the forest.
Susan laughed out loud when she saw the miserable state those people were in—they sat around a peach blossom tree, and they looked sluggish and utterly deflated.
It was apparent that they had been looking for an exit all night long, and they were exhausted.
