Chapter 4211
Yvette was an intelligent lady. Out of caution for Skylar possibly going back on his word, she purposefully left that message with them.
She was leaving for a few days?
Chester was shocked to hear that and exchanged a few looks with everyone else in the room.
Dax could not help but say, "This is really sudden. Where are you off to? Do you need any help?"
"I'm fine."
Yvette smiled lightly and shook her head. "That is my own business. No need to worry. I'll be back before you know it."
Then, Yvette strolled out of the hall quickly.
How could she bring herself to tell them what had happened with Skylar?
The situation caught Chester, Dax, and the rest off guard completely. They stood rooted to the spot, frozen in shock.
What could have happened to make her have to leave so urgently?
Not long after that, a petite figure rushed into the hall. It was Jewel.
"Jewel!"
The sight of her brought Chester back to his senses as concern etched all over his face. "What were you doing, coming home so late in the night?"
Jewel did not bother explaining as she grabbed Chester. "Senior Chester, have you seen Sister Yvette?”
’She just left!" Chester said, smiling ruefully.
What?
Jewel gasped in shock, and panic began to creep onto her face. "Oh, no! Something must have happened."
She looked around her and said, "I followed Sister Yvette just now. She went to an old temple up north and met up with Skylar Blanc."
Jewel proceeded to tell everyone what she saw in great detail.
What?
The news had everyone, including Chester and Dax, frozen in shock.
Yvette had met up with Skylar in secret?
That was bad. Skylar was one of Archfiend Antigonus' men, known for his despicable ways.
Chester’s heart raced the more he thought about the situation. Without hesitating, he cried out, "Quick, let's set out immediately. We have to find her, no matter what it takes."
Chester’s face was the picture of anxiousness as he spoke.
He firmly believed that Yvette would never befriend Skylar, and the only explanation to them meeting up was that Skylar had figured out a way to hold Yvette to do something against her will.
As the words rang through the air, Dax and everyone else geared themselves and took off.
At the other end, Lord Kenny had finally reached the Hazel Hen Gate with his 300,000 soldiers after several hours of travel.
The person of great power that Skylar had mentioned had not shown up yet, and so, Lord Kenny was not in a rush to start the attack. Instead, he ordered his troops to set up camp within a close range of the city.
Dawn had not broken yet, so the lights in the camp were alight and blazing. At the same time, it was bustling with patrolling soldiers standing guard.
Just then, a breathtaking figure came close. She landed gracefully on the camp's ground.
She was clad in skin-tight black clothes that outlined the charming silhouette of her figure, and she had a black mask. Her eyes sparkled like the stars in the night sky.
It was Yvette.
"Who's there?"
"Halt, and don't move."
Yvette's appearance put the surrounding soldiers in a defensive frenzy.
They surrounded her at once.
