Chapter 4217
Whoa!
The soldiers at the Hazel Hen Gate cried out in shock. The area grew abuzz with discussion.
'What's that spell?"
"Does she think she can block the Marshal’s water swirls with a mere protective shield?"
At the same time, Lord Kenny and his 300,000 royal soldiers hardly dared to breathe. They had unreadable expressions on their faces.
Gonggong's skills were terrifyingly powerful. Would that mysterious lady in black manage to block them with a mere protective shield?
Lord Kenny was at his wit's end.
If the master could not defeat Gonggong, his plan to attack the Hazel Hen Gate would be considered a failure. The battle before them needed to be drawn to a conclusion as soon as possible.
Just as Lord Kenny was panicking, the sight that greeted him shocked him beyond words.
He could only see water swirls colliding harshly against the gigantic protective shield, emitting an ear-splitting sound. The protective shield remained utterly unharmed.
On top of that, the shield's heat had evaporated a great deal because of the water. It formed a white fog.
Yvette stood in the middle of it all silently, completely untouched.
How was that possible?
Gonggong's body jerked backward in shock as she stared at Yvette in disbelief.
She had used up her strength to summon the defense team's water, and all of it had been blocked by a simple protective shield.
Gonggong did not know that Yvette had been using her fiend energy to summon the protective shield that was blazing hot and impenetrable by water or fire.
It was blocked?
At the same time, the soldiers guarding the Hazel Hen Gate stood in shock.
There was also a hint of fear.
Even the great Marshal was no match for her. What else was left of that battle?
Thud!
Their palms collided, emitting a dull hum that sent both Yvette and Gonggong stumbling backward with a jerk.
'Why... why didn't you kill me?"
As she pulled herself upright, confusion sparked through Gonggong's features. She could feel that the lady had not used her full strength in her last attack, or Gonggong would have been dead already.
Yvette sighed lightly. "I don't want to kill you. Leave while you still can. You won't be able to protect the Hazel Hen Gate today."
"Interesting."
Gonggong frowned, smirking coldly. "You want to get past the Hazel Hen Gate, but you won't kill me. You're also wearing a mask. Are you someone I know? Are you trying to hide your identity from me?"
As she spoke, Gonggong's tone was full of suspicion.
Indeed, Yvette had covered her face on purpose with the intent of not being recognized. After all, helping Skylar to take down the North Moana Continent was the last thing she wanted.
On top of that, she was also Darryl's lover. Darryl had done a great deal for the Nine Mainland and was considered a renowned hero. His reputation would be ruined if people found out that his lover was helping the fiend race to incite a war.
