As he spoke, Skylar's gaze was ice-cold with fury.

He needed at least 20 children daily when he cultivated the Devil Nightmare. However, Rory only brought him 16 kids that day. So, he was furious.

Rory gulped when he sensed Skylar's rage. His temple beaded with sweat as he fell to his knees. He stammered as he spoke, "Please don't be angry, Your Honor. I've done my best to get you the children you need, I promise.

"But the missing children have caused great panic amongst the civilians. As a result, many families with children had run away. I could only find 16 kids today."

Rory continued to bow as he spoke; his tone was completely apologetic. ’ Don't worry, Your Honor. I'll figure out a way to get you another four."
