'Vincent?'
Gigi furrowed her brows when she heard Vincent's voice. She cracked the door open and said tiredly, "Vincent, I'm about to go to bed."
Gigi thought Vincent was there to discuss the proposal, so she felt very conflicted.
Seeing Gigi acting so distant, Vincent was displeased, but he still put on a smile and pretended.
"Haha! Gigi, you drank quite a bit earlier. You must be feeling unwell now. I made you some hangover soup. Drink it while it's hot. Then, you'll be able to rest well."
In the end, he took out the hangover soup he had brought.
'Hangover soup?'
Looking at the steaming hot bowl of soup that Vincent brought, Gigi was startled, and she felt bad at the same time.
'I thought he came to talk about the proposal. Turns out he brought me soup. He's so thoughtful. I almost blamed him wrongly.'
"Thank you, Vincent!"
Then, Gigi grinned, opened the door, and said embarrassedly, "Come on in. It's cold outside."
In fact, it was late at night, and Gigi did not intend to let Vincent in. After all, they were both single, and it was inappropriate for them to share a room.
However, she did not have the heart to let him stay outside as he brought her soup late at night.
Seeing that Gigi had no doubts, Vincent put on a bright smile and marched into the room. He said, "Gigi, I'm so sorry to bother you at night."
As he spoke, he placed the hangover soup on the table and squinted. "The soup is getting cold. You should drink now."
Then, he could not help but size Gigi up.
Though the banquet had ended over an hour ago, her face was still slightly flushed. Under the light from the dim yellow candle, she looked gorgeous, like a blooming rose.
As Vincent admired Gigi's beauty, his heart became eviler.
