"Yes, Your Excellency."
Forsythe responded quickly, sweating profusely, and secretly began to worry about Morticia.
Archfiend Antigonus was furious. The queen may be in danger.
Forsythe was also stumped. He could not understand how the queen could have fallen in love with Ambrose.
Forsythe walked outside the secret chamber, ordered a few elite disciples to guard Heather, and then sent someone to Dragon King Island to deliver the news.
"You—"
Heather was shocked and angry. She had told them everything she knew, but they would not let her go!
On the Cryolet Continent, the weather was sunny and nice that day.
A chessboard was on the table in the small garden next to the Elixir Sector. Darryl was lying comfortably on the chair, slowly sipping tea while playing against Lindsey.
Lindsey was only 12 or 13 years old, but she was talented and quick-witted. She had integrated the mysterious cultivation method with the Spirit of the Heavenly Secret in the previous two days with the help of Darryl. In many ways, she was far superior to ordinary people.
Sofia stood beside her with a smile on her face.
Preston held a wooden sword and practiced one move at a time on the grass a few meters away. Darryl had taught Preston all Celestial Swordsmanship skills in two days.
Preston felt as if he had been given a treasure. He immersed himself in it, trying his best to understand it. He was so engrossed in his work that he occasionally forgot to eat and sleep. Even though Preston was notorious for being talented in swordsmanship, it was obviously impossible to understand everything in such a short time fully. After all, Ford created and developed those skills for decades, and Darryl had improved them. It was extraordinarily complex.
Darryl sipped his tea, picked up a chess piece, placed it on the chessboard, and smiled at Lindsey. "Checkmate."
Sofia nodded in agreement.
She would be surprised if anyone could beat Lindsey at chess. That did not apply to Darryl, though. That man was brilliant and, at the same time, puzzling.
Darryl could not stop laughing when he saw Lindsey's expression and said, "Lindsey, being able to see twenty moves is incredible. However, you must understand that playing chess is about more than just the number of moves you can calculate. You must also be able to see through your opponent's thoughts. You will be able to win regardless of how many moves your opponent can calculate as long as you guess the opponent's thoughts."
Lindsey opened her mouth wide in surprise when she heard that. "You...did you just know everything I was thinking? How is that even possible?"
Darryl was even as astute as her father. Her father could not read her mind when he taught her chess.
Darryl smiled and said in a mysterious tone, "Don't be surprised. After you have mastered the mysterious cultivation method and the Spirit of the Heavenly Secret, you can do it too."
