Despite feeling Sect Master Endless' rage, Forsythe remained calm. He smiled wickedly and replied slowly at the time, "I am just a nobody. You don't need to know my name.
"I came to the Shaolin Sect because I was curious about your sect's ultimate techniques. I did not expect that when your disciples learned why we were coming here, their attitudes toward us would change, and they would attack us for no apparent reason. To protect ourselves, we had no choice but to fight back."
Forsythe sounded calm and relaxed as he said that. It was as if he was not in the wrong for bringing people to the Shaolin Sect at night and asking for the top-secret manuals.
Sect Master Endless' face darkened as soon as he finished speaking. The leader of the men in black in front of him was extraordinary, whether in words, behavior, or aura. He did not resemble an unknown soldier at all.
Furthermore, the man covered his face, presumably to protect his identity.
Was he a Shaolin Sect adversary? However, the Shaolin Sect had no animosity toward any sects in the cultivator world during those years.
Sect Master Endless was perplexed. He was even more irritated when he heard what Forsythe said. The Shaolin Sect's ultimate technique had never been shared with others. That person boldly asked for it, injuring many Shaolin Sect disciples. He was unconcerned about the Shaolin Sect. He was extremely conceited.
Sect Master Endless considered that and said coldly to Forsythe, "The Shaolin Sect's ultimate technique had never been borrowed to outsiders. What you just said was designed to cause trouble. Because you have harmed so many Shaolin Sect disciples, you can stay in the pagoda behind the Shaolin Sect to repent."
The Shaolin Sect's pagoda at the back of the hill was built by the younger generation, and it has 13 floors. It used to be a place for monks to meditate and cultivate in seclusion, but due to a series of unfortunate events, it was used to imprison felons.
Even though Forsythe had killed so many Shaolin Sect disciples, Sect Master Endless had mercy on him. Sect Master Endless, as the Shaolin Sect's leader, did not want to kill him. He simply desired to confine Forsythe in the pagoda so that he could atone for his sins daily.
When he heard the bustle, he could not help but laugh, his eyes mocking. "You people who recite scriptures are the same as those who recite poems, Sect Master Endless. You are pedantic and paranoid. I just killed your sect's disciples, so I must go into the pagoda to atone for my sins? What a silly joke!
"The scriptures you chanted might be useful for others, but not me. So, you'd better leave the position in the pagoda to others."
Forsythe's eyes were brimming with wit at the time.
