Pork was taken aback by Avery's words. He looked at her incredulously and asked, "Cousin, are you seriously considering marrying Jessica off to this country boy? Jessica is the granddaughter of The Matthews. Marrying her to a country boy would be a disgrace to the entire Matthews family! Avery's face turned stern at Pork's response, and she demanded, "Pork, are you trying to teach me a lesson here?"
