Melanie was not surprised to see Eugene and Lee, but when she recalled how Eugene had mocked her, she ignored them and headed to hail a taxi. 

Lee cleared his throat and said, “Mr. Scott, why don’t I call Melanie over?” 

Eugene was dealing with LeapCo’s business through his phone. He lifted his head, and his gaze was cold. 

Lee rubbed his nose and said nothing more. 

Melanie and Eugene arrived at the conference hall almost at the same time. Melanie’s eyes met Viola’s. 

Viola was not even bothered to hide her hatred anymore. 

Melanie lifted her eyebrow slightly, knowing Viola had not yet been informed about what had happened in Jepton. 

That was alright… 

A glimpse of hatred flashed across Melanie’s eyes. She calmly looked at Viola, noticing her scary and gloomy expression. Viola stared back at Melanie, and her awful expression distorted her delicate face. 

However, her expression faded in just a second, and a smile was on her face again. 

Footsteps came from behind Melanie. When she turned around, she saw Eugene walking in expressionlessly. 

His gaze fell on Melanie, and he looked straight at Harvey behind her. 

Harvey had been there talking to the others. It seemed he did not intend to greet 

Melanie. 

If that was the case, Melanie would never approach him. 

He could ignore Melanie, but he could not overlook Eugene. Even if the Qaisa family were against LeapCo, he was just the person in charge. He would not be that dumb to show his hostility toward Eugene. 

Harvey put on a professional smile. “Good morning, Mr. Scott. The conference is about to end in a few days. But you’re still as punctual as always.” 

Eugene was one of the investors, and Harvey would naturally flatter him. 

However, Eugene glanced at him and said coldly, “You sound like you don’t wish- to see me here.”

Startled, Harvey quickly explained, “Mr. Scott, why would you think so? Nothing important is being discussed in the conference, so you don’t have to waste your time popping in.” 

Eugene sneered, and his voice was still as cold as his personality. 

“Redwaves is already rejecting LeapCo’s cooperation. Do you still think that’s unimportant?” 

“Eugene.” Viola stood up and frowned as she denied Eugene’s words. “Mr. Grant has no intention of making things difficult for LeapCo. He simply wants to 

eliminate some studios that are unworthy of investment.” 

Viola glanced at Melanie when she mentioned the word ‘studios‘. Melanie showed no expression. 

As someone who was only mediocre in her work, Viola was good at interrupting to flatter her boss.
