You can't just walk away." Balogun tries to reason with her but Tife has had enough already.
"I can't take this anymore Balogun, I'll make sure I check on Tolu." She says, walks away and leaves the house, Tolu comes out of hiding and runs to Balogun.
"What happened daddy?" Tolu worries but still doesn't know what's going on, Balogun carries her.
"Your mom will be back but I'll need you to stay with your grandma for the meantime."
Years passed and Tife never showed up, Tolu never gave up on hope she was always optimistic even at her young age. Most times she'll sit on a couch facing the front door just waiting for her mom to show up and settle back in with her father but has the years continue to pass Tife never showed up, one night Tolu sits down waiting again for her mom but she still didn't show up this wasn't like other days this was Tolu's birthday and even though Tife never showed up during her birthday she still had hope but she was growing older and it was time for her to accept the truth that her mother will never show uo part of her felt Tife was involved in a car accident cause she wasn't ready to admit to herself that her mom might never show up.
In 2003, Tolu is in a supermarket looking for deodorants to buy but she stumbles upon something very shocking! It was a poster of Tife her mom selling hair products this proves that Tife wasn't dead and was alive. Tolu runs to the bathroom and cries, her eyes were blurry she had made up a story in her head that her mom died but seeing this proves her mom didn't just care and bother to look for her. She only had her father.
In 2005, Tolu is on her way to the police academy this marked one of the greatest days of her life. She had always admired her father and wanted to be just like him, he was her role model and was so happy he was proud of her, they both walk around the street.
"You need to be careful as you're going to the academy, you're the only Supernatural there." He cautious her, Tolu isn't scared she had been preparing for this. Her and Balogun would always train she knew she was ready and was confident.
"I can take care of myself dad, you know that." Balogun knew she could but he wasn't talking about fighting alone.
