"I hope you're fine Tolu?" Ayo says as he watches Tolu just laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling. They've been at the hospital for over two hours, Tolu was having doubts about herself she didn't talk throughout which is unlike her only thing she had done so far was call Deji to come meet her.
"I'm not, gathering all of us to face Essence was a great mistake." She said as she uses a tissue to wipe her tear filled eyes.
"You don't have to talk like this, you're going to get better and we'll continue the search." Ayo has been having a boost of confidence since he used his powers at the Gok house, he saved someone's life with the powers he thought were only meant for chaos and destruction.
"You're not listening to me, you need to give up on that idea." Tolu sits properly, she now knew what Essence was capable of.
"Well you shouldn't have forced all of us into finding Papa at the first place." Gboyega says firmly, Deji quickly barges in. He sees Ayo really close to her, he couldn't wait for any explanation and quickly concluded that this was all Ayo's fault.
"What did you do to her." Deji says swiftly as he angrily grabs Ayo shirt.
"Me? I didn't do anything." Ayo pushes Deji out of his way, Tolu sensed that they were going to fight but she couldn't stand up she was still in pain.
"Why are you people risking her life? She's a human and you guys are Supernaturals." Dej cries out, he hadn't seen Tolu in this condition before.
"Risking her life? She was the one that forced us to find Papa, you don't have to discourage her from doing what she clearly loves." Ayo said firmly.
"You should go Ayo." Tolu said swiftly as she her head gently on the pillow, Ayo couldn't say anything he couldn't believe that this was the person that gathered all of them, gave them motivation and so on to find Papa would be like this.
"Wow." Ayo said disappointed and walks out of the room, he goes to the reception and sits on a chair, he couldn't leave Tolu all by herself he wanted to make sure she was fine. "Shit." Ayo says as he hears the voice of a baby crying, this immediately triggers Ayo as it brings back a lot of bad memories, Ayo stands up swiftly running towards the entrance door of the hospital he moved really fast that he had no idea he pushed a old man using a wheelchair.
"Ye!" The old man screams in pain, Ayo quickly turns around to apologize.
"Sorry Sir." Ayo says, the man was blind this made Ayo concerned cause there was no nurse supervising him. "Where are the nurses?" Ayo asked.
"The nurses here don't care about me, I've been here for over 7years I'm pretty sure the people here want me dead." The man says and sighs out, tired of his pathetic life.
"Let me get you to your room." Ayo says as he gently pushes the wheelchair.
"Part of me feels like I failed." Tolu says as she opens her eyes, thinking of all her life choices. Deji stands up from the chair and sits on the bed.
"You've tried your best, there's no other thing you can do." Deji whispers to her as he grabs her hand to comfort her. "Hey, you can move with me Tolu. We can always work together, you give me information and I handle the crimes." Deji says and kisses the back of her hand, Tolu quickly takes her hand off of Deji, she picks up her phone that was laying beside her, she checks her mom's Instagram profile.
"Sometimes it just feels like you've made the wrong decisions in life." Tolu says and sighs softly
