"Did you forget that you asked me to look into Neil Hendersohn last time?"
At Marius' reminder, I recalled that I had indeed done so. However, I thought about how there was not much of a need for it and ended up forgetting.
"Are you saying you found something?" I asked.
Marius laughed. "It's not anything big. I just checked if what Neil said was the truth. His mother abandoned him and the news back then revealed that the Grants had adopted an orphan. It's probably him."
If that was the case, it was reasonable for the Grants to have supported Neil.
I nodded repeatedly before sighing. "Neil is very pitiful. Yet, Theo still refuses to accept him."
"He's the child of a mistress, after all. I understand President Grant."
I tilted my head and looked at Marius, smiling. "It seems your relationship with Theo has been good recently."
Marius coughed when he heard this and waved his hands, "I can rest assured as long as he treats you well. With that, it's not difficult for us to coexist peacefully."
"Thank you."
"Oh, you're welcome. But Shannon isn't feeling good, so why don't we keep her company later tonight?"
To help Shannon let out her negative emotions, we took her to the largest bar in Whaldorf City. This place was different from the other smaller bars. The people who came here were either rich or nobles. Many big-name entrepreneurs came here to relax, and they kicked out those who were a mess.
Shannon was holding herself back a little at the start but ended up going through a few bottles once she started. I wanted to stop her, but I thought about how she must be in a bad mood and let her be.
Fortunately, Marius was here to help me take care of her.
I supported Shannon who had thrown up out of the toilet and passed her onto Marius. "Help her to the private room so she can rest. I'm going to clean up my clothes." Shannon had thrown up on me just now.
"Alright."
