*Kat’s POV
“Okay so lets start from here. This is the living room.” He says entering the room opposite to the kitchen. We ate our breakfast in comfortable silence with him staring at me the whole time we were eating, though I did catch him he just smiled sheepishly and continued to stare while I ate.
After I ate, he literally snatched the plate from me so that I won’t do the dishwash, which I would have though there is maids to do that. If he hadn’t pulled me from there to give me a tour of his house, I would have stood there to at least wash my plates. I always liked to do the things by my own and not depend on anyone.
He was super excited like a kid excited to show his new toy. Ryder was very excited to show me his house. Which I forgot to say is like a mansion. From the entrance of the house to left is the huge kitchen session, so it also has dinning room included in that region. To the right the region where we are in right now is the living room. It is FREAKING HUGE. Literally this living room can hold my whole apartment which I should say is also pretty big with 2 bedrooms and a large hall with spacious kitchen. So, when I compare my apartment to this hall it means a lot.
The living room can even be used to hold a party. 4 sofas are arranged in U-shape in front of the furnace. This seems like a room were people gets cosy and have talk because there’s no TV, my guess is there’s a separate room for that. Opposite to the entrance is the large aquarium. I squeal and run to the aquarium. I love fishes. I stand there at awe with my hands on the glass. I didn’t realise Ry was behind me. He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and the other on top of my hand on the glass.
“I build this for you. I know about your fascination for fishes. When I had the architect drew the living room, I had specifically told him among other things, for an aquarium instead of one of the walls. I also hired a servant just for maintaining this.” He said.
I turned around to face him and pecked his lips expressing my love for him, without even saying anything. He nodded, showing he understood. I walked around him to see the rest of the room. To the adjacent wall of the aquarium is the floor-ceiling windows showing the amazing garden to the front of the house.
“Come on I will show you the rest of the house.” He took my hands and pulled me to the door beside the aquarium, which had stairs to go to the first floor. Turning left there was a passage which had 4 doors, 2 on each side. Going through the passage, I opened the first to see an office room, that has a table in centre and bookshelf on one side and a cabinet to the other. There is also a sofa to the side.
“This is my office. The room adjacent to this is yours, that is, if you are planning to stay.” He said with hope lacing in his words. “The 2 rooms opposite to this are empty. I left it for you to decide. It can be anything related to office/study room, as this part of the house is intended for work related or anything to papers and books. I think you can use these as an art room. I remember that you used to paint beautifully” He said to which I nodded and he closed the door behind me and I turned around to the passage. I used to paint its been long. Though I haven’t painted any during the last semester as there were lot of works otherwise.
“Come on I have something to show you.” He said walking to left and that is when I noticed double doors to left of the staircase we got up. He opened it and when I got inside, I was shocked. I had my jaw on the floor. It was a huge library. I love to read. If anyone is searching for me then I will be here if they didn’t find me in the living room near to the aquarium.
