To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny) novel Chapter 1017

"What are you doing, Alec?" Jenny glared at him. She hadn't expected him to move and to be so near.

Alec smiled at her. This villa was built in the perfect spot. Even if Jenny and Evan stayed in the same room, he would be able to see their movements. It was so convenient.

"Have you had your lunch?" Alec asked.

Jenny nodded, thinking that he simply had nothing to do. "You look carefree."

"Not really. I just miss you," Alec said those tender words with a tender look on his face. Jenny blushed, unable to describe what she was feeling.

Just before she was about to speak, Evan pushed his window open next door. He glared at Alec coldly and said, "Do you know what being a public nuisance means?"

"Was I being that loud? Were you tossing and turning in bed, perhaps?" Alec mocked. He hadn't even been able to talk with Jenny.

Evan didn't plan on arguing with him. He looked at Jenny. "You can go over to his house if you'd like to say anything to him. I'd like to rest."

"Sorry, Evan," Jenny apologized. She could tell that he was in a bad mood. "You can go rest. I won't bother you."

"Great." Evan closed his window as if he were really going to rest.

Jenny waved to Alec. But then, he called her phone, and she picked up in bewilderment. "What?"

"This would work, wouldn't it? Don't go. Just let me look at you," Alec said, looking at her.

His voice had grown softer. Even Evan wouldn't be able to nitpick at it.

Evan stood behind his window, watching Alec's smile through the crack in the curtain. His intent to kill had long spread through his entire body.
