Alec looked at Jenny with deep affection in his eyes and said, "Jenny, thank you."

He knew why Jenny spared them.

"Didn't you say we don't need to be so formal and courteous to each other? You're the one who's being all polite and proper now." Jenny glared at him and finally understood how he'd felt about the way she talked to him before.

Alec laughed heartily. "It's my fault. I shouldn't be so formal with my beloved girlfriend."

The two chatted merrily while the news of Wardley Inc's fall spread quickly.

In the end, Alec acquired Wardley Inc; Anthony and Faye left Bardoff City with the money they got from selling their shares. However, before leaving Bardoff City, Anthony called Jenny and asked to meet her.

When Jenny received Anthony's call, it'd already been a week since she and Alec were discharged from the hospital. She originally thought that Anthony and Faye should have left Bardoff City by then, but she didn't expect she would get a call from him.

Anthony requested to meet at a cafe opposite the hospital to prove he had no bad intentions and just wanted to meet her. Nevertheless, Jenny didn't believe him. After all, he had explicitly instructed her not to let Alec know about their meetup. Wasn't it obvious that there was something fishy going on?

She came to the cafe cautiously and saw Anthony sitting by the window as soon as she walked in. She walked over to him and sat opposite him.
