Jenny had called him previously, instructing him to act like he didn't believe Jolene regardless of what she said. Jenny did not tell him the reason. All she said was that if he did it, he would be able to marry Jolene. Now that Jolene was in his arms, Brandon began to admire Jenny although their marriage had not been confirmed yet.
Jolene and Brandon didn't notice Jenny and Graham standing nearby, watching them embrace each other.
Jenny grinned. As she had expected, Jolene would never let go of a valuable asset like Brandon. Therefore, when Brandon seemed to distrust her, Jolene had to do something. Although it was just a hug, it was enough to make Graham believe that Jolene liked Brandon.
"I told you earlier that Jolene was interested in Brandon, but you didn't believe me," Jenny told Graham.
Graham was wearing an ugly expression on his face. "Since she is interested in him, couldn't she tell us directly? Why must she sneak around like this and act in such a lowly manner?"
He was furious as he thought it was unfitting for a daughter of the Walters to behave that way. She ought to be loud and proud about the man she liked. She should have declared it and sought blessings instead of doing what she was doing now.
Graham turned around and left, but Jenny did not hurry to leave. Smiling, she approached the couple. Her slow applause startled Jolene, who quickly removed herself from Brandon's arms.
Jolene and Brandon reacted differently when they realized it was Jenny.
"Jenny!" Jolene spat through gritted teeth, regretting now that she had been caught by Jenny. She knew the consequences would be bad if Graham saw her entangled with Brandon in such a manner.

Loved the novel!! Hated the ending. It felt rushed to get it finished. I hope there is a sequel. There is a ton of potential for one....
The adds are getting worse! I shouldn't have to see porn to read a book...
