To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny) novel Chapter 663

Blake felt a little sad hearing him say that, but she still insisted and said, "Are you sure you don't want to reconsider that?"

"No, I don't." Alec's reply was decisive.

"Would you consider it if it was us?" Blake looked at him, her eyes sincere.

Alec was stunned as he was surprised to hear that from her. "Are you serious?"

"Of course I am. Didn't I tell you before that I have feelings for you?" Blake crossed her arms and looked at him, smiling. She felt a mixture of feelings internally and was far from as calm as she appeared.

She never expected that she would fall in love with a man one day and would even confess her feelings to him. On top of that, she was nervous and afraid that he didn't feel the same way. She was Blake Watkins, a respected psychologist and a daughter of the Watkins family. She had countless admirers and never thought she would be groveling for someone's affection one day.

Alec looked at her and spoke up after a while, "I'm grateful that you saved me before, and I will remember that favor for the rest of my life, but—"

"Stop." Blake interrupted him, lifting her hand. "I know what you're going to say. You've misunderstood me. What I meant was that we pretend to be together," she quickly explained with a smile, although she felt bitter inside.

"What do you mean?" Alec was obviously more interested in this proposal, thinking Blake must have her reasons for saying this.

Blake didn't know whether to be happy or sad that he was interested. She sighed and elaborated, "You're not given any importance within the Fausts right now, so if you want to get more support, you have to increase your value. You may be capable, but no one will support you without a powerful family backing you. Suppose you and I are in a relationship, outsiders will naturally think that you have the support of the Watkins, and the attention on you will increase, giving you a chance to showcase your abilities."

She didn't doubt Alec's abilities, but in a place like the Faust family, having abilities doesn't necessarily equate to having the opportunity to put those abilities into action. There were too many people who wanted to do the same in the family. Compared to Zeke's sons and grandsons, Alec, who was considered an outsider, didn't have much value.
