"What am I lacking compared to her?" Alexandra asked, feeling very much aggrieved.

Although Jenny was more beautiful than her and came from a much better family, Alexandra believed that Christopher wasn't someone who valued those things.

Christopher felt helpless at how persistent she was. "You shouldn't compare yourself to her. You're different from each other. Our breakup has nothing to do with her. I won't end up with her either."

"You won't end up with her, or you know you won't stand a chance with her?" Alexandra sneered.

Compared to Jenny's suitors, Christopher was from a family that was substandard at best, so how could he be qualified? Alexandra was well aware of that, not to mention Christopher himself.

"Going around in circles on this matter is pointless," Christopher declared. At this point, he'd already put down his cutlery and leaned back in his chair, expressionless.

He'd only put up with Alexandra for so long because he knew he was in the wrong. During the time they were together, Alexandra treated him well, and he could feel her sincerity. That was why he was so patient with her.

"Yes, it's meaningless." Alexandra smiled bitterly.

"Christopher, since you will inevitably get married in the future, why can't it be me? I'll be a good wife and won't disappoint you." Even if Christopher didn't like her, she could accept it.
