She loved baby Jane more than anything else in this world, including her own life.

"Wow, wait for a second. You said I'm a lechery man. If I don't act like one, then how can I be with you?" Samuel was afraid that she would actually make it a rule, so he wanted to talk her out of it in a glib way.
