"How about that? Are you scared?" Ella smiled and looked at Samuel who maintained a stolid expression. 'Wow, he is pretending to be calm', Ella thought.

Samuel looked at the super spicy hotpot and laughed. He asked the waiter, "Please bring the double-flavour hotpot for us, one flavour, the soup base to be mushroom plain broth, the other, super spicy broth."

Ella had ordered other side dishes to accompany their soup, so Samuel just requested for the soup dishes.

When the dishes was served, the plain soup was placed in front of Ella and the spicy soup, in front of Samuel. Ella 's expression turned grim with disappointment.

"Samuel, you are mistaken. I want the spicy soup too."

Spicy soup was necessary for the hotpot because it must have chilli.

Samuel handed Ella a bottle of juice and said, "You haven't recovered yet so you can't eat spicy food."

Ella couldn't argue because he was right. Ella looked at the spicy soup base and started to drool.

"Samuel, if you can't eat spicy food, you can just eat the mushroom soup with me. Don't push yourself, " Ella said. All the men Ella has met couldn't eat spicy food, so she thought it was the same case for Samuel.

Samuel took a sip of juice and smiled at her, "Don't worry about me."

"Samuel, don't eat the hotpot if you can't handle the heat." Ella was worried that he would be choking and in tears because of the chilli. Moreover he might upset his stomach.

"Call me Sam." Samuel didn't answer her question and his voice expressed resistance.

Ella glared at him, confused by how quickly the topic was changed. Finally, she nodded.

Soon after, they began eating.

Samuel took some cooked vegetables from the mushroom pot and put in Ella's bowl.

When Ella saw Samuel eating the spicy food calmly, Ella felt that the vegetables in her bowl were as tasteless as wax.

Was he trying to impress me?

After a while, it was clear that Samuel could handle the spiciness.

Even for her, spicy hotpot was so spicy that she had to drink water frequently. But Samuel was so calm and looked as if he was eating a non-spicy mushroom soup.

Samuel took another pair of chopsticks and served Ella all the food in the mushroom soup.

Ella was so surprised that she choked on the juice she was drinking.

Samuel was about to laugh. Because he understood that Ella was jealous.

When he thought of Emma, Samuel didn't laugh. He explained to Ella briefly that he liked spicy food too, as much as Ella. Switching to a serious topic he said, "Let's go to Chengyang Private Hospital in the next few days."

Emma was stuck in the hospital and couldn't go anywhere.

"I've gone to the doctor already." Ella didn't understand why Samuel wanted to take her to the hospital, she thought that he was just worried about her wounds.

Samuel shook his head, "I spoke to Chuck. I know your situation. I'm not taking you there for a check-up."

Ella looked at Samuel curiously, prompting him to clarify. "You will know when we get there."
