Chapter 209
Tony drummed on the steering wheel with his finger. Finally, the traffic lights turned green, and he gave a signal, ready to make a turn as he stepped on the gas. Suddenly, a car from behind dashed forward as Tony still had not completely made that turn. The driver wanted to be the first in line.
In a split second, Tony had no choice but to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction for safety purposes. He wanted to turn the car back.
Both Sean and Molly were not prepared for this in the backseat, so Molly fell to her left uncontrollably.
In order to protect her, Sean held on to the seat with one arm and wrapped his other arm around her shoulders, making them lean toward each other. Molly was in his arms when her face flushed. She could smell Sean’s faint cologne and his personal scent. Next to her ears was his strong heartbeat, and each heartbeat felt like it was pounding on her heart. Their position in such a tight space was the air really flirtatious. Sean’s breath changed as well since he was probably not used to it still. When his fingertips touched Molly’s shoulder, his fingers felt hot, and his eyes started to darken. Molly was feeling extra awkward. Her hands were on his chest, and she wanted to push him away when she suddenly remembered that she was the one who fell on him! ‘He won’t misunderstand this ‘as me hugging him, right?!’
Molly was momentarily stunned as her hands stopped. She felt the warmth in her palms, and her ears had turned red like a peach that was tender and enticing. ‘This is over for me. He probably thinks I’m a pervert that makes a move on him whenever I can!’
Molly was so embarrassed that she did not know where to put her hands. She wanted to pull her hands away, but they felt so heavy that she could not move them.
Her heart was pounding loudly, and her nervous breath was tense. She kept her head lowered, so she could only see the color of his blouse from the light behind him. When she looked up, she could see his fair neck and his face.
